Not "you" personally... but any arbitrarily selected representative of the sapient populace.

Can a person kill someone as an act of love toward that person?

Recently a nobel laurete insinuated that the blackman is mentally inferior to the white. Since then there has been a lot of arguments for and against the assertion. It is true that Africa has shown very little development particularly in the area of science and technology and even governance as compared with other blocks. Could it be the interplay of environmental socio-political /cultural factors. Could it be something to do with the make-up (DNA) of the black man. Is the west actually making sure that the blacks remain subjugated as alluded to by certain quarters. Has religion anything to do with it? What is your opinion on this controversy. Please support your answers with facts.

We see in Rev 21:1 that on the New Earth there will be no sea.
Why is this so.
What sort of connection does the sea have to God's judgement as seen in Genesis 1:9-10 and Jer 5:22 and also to demons as seen in Matthew 8:2--32.

Thank You so much for your answers

As Christmas approaches, many people will be agonizing over what to get mom and dad.

I've heard the complaints: "I hate shopping for mom and dad. They have everything and its just so frustrating."

If those words or ones similar have ever been uttered by you, think about this:

I will happily trade places with you. Just send a list of your parents likes, favorite colors, etc. In exchange, you go to Wal-Mart for me, pick out a really nice wreath, and take it to the cemetery.

Psychoanalysis is a science conducted by lunatics for lunatics. They are generally concerned with proving that people are irresponsible; and they certainly succeed in proving that some people are.

I read a question about astral projection, and everyone was like "it doesn't happen" and then *I* asked one, and some people said it DOES happen?

Hmmm...conflicting reports?

How do you resolve the conflict that the God you love allows a soul you love to be torchured forever because they were confused and misled in life? Life is too short, shouldn't the dead have a chance to be saved?

Please read the following before answering . . .

As a 17 year-old Japanese I am absolutely appalled by this news. It is nauseating. I can understand that the west is upset about our whale-eating tradition, but please, whatever evidence the Australians have, we’re not stupid enough to not realize the uniqueness and preciousness of the world’s only white whale. We would rather explore the beauty of such an animal through observing it in its natural habitat, unharmed and untouched, and sharing it with the whole of Japan through the media. This is what we have always done with seals, whales, and penguins that have accidentally arrived in parts of Japan such as Tokyo Bay, which were rare occurrences. I have seen the news myself. All we did was observe their activities, and make sure they returned to their homes safely.

Many Christians believe in angels. Many Pagans believe in spirit guides. If a Pagan mentions spirit guides, they are told it is a demon. Why do Christians assume that an angelic being is NOT a spirit guide when both perform the same function? Or do you have a different idea on what an angel/spirit guide is?

Personally I am a Mormon and believe in it with all my heart - that being said, I also believe there is much truth to be learned from all religions (I believe revelation comes in many forms) including Islam - would any of you mind sharing some inspiring teachings that have affected you in your lives(including passages in the Quran)? It would be much appreciated!

i've noticed that there seems to be a minor language issue between christians and atheists around here.

an atheist will post stuff like:

"how dumb is it to believe that the earth is flat?" (gen. 1-5)
"how dumb is it to believe that outer space is made entirely out of water?" (gen. 6-8) or
"how dumb is it to believe that jerusalem is located at the centre of the earth" (ezekiel 5:5).

but christians post:

"how dumb is it to believe that humans evolved from apes?" or
"how dumb is it to believe that the earth is more than 6,000 years old?" or
"how dumb is it to believe that people live in china?"

to me it seems fairly clear that when an atheist says 'dumb' he means 'determined to believe things which are not true'; but when a christian says 'dumb' he means 'willing to believe things which are not only true, but obvious'.

i wondered are there other places where words mean something different to christians and atheists.

then i realised that when a christian says 'proof' he means what an atheist would normally call 'irrational prejudice'; when a christian says 'love' he means 'dissing members of any other sect'; and when a christian talks about 'tolerance' he means 'burning witches'.

are there other words christians have trouble with?
