I don't mean the object of his vision I understand that part completely. I am talking about the glass. What kind of glass. Is he talking about sun glasses? Did they have such a thing? If he meant glass like drinking glass who would look through one? Really, I have never understood this.

"...our free will is there to be able to accept our fate."

Is this some convoluted, wacko thinking or what ? Doesn't it say: Accept fate or reject fate according to your liking.... but leave off and completely ignore that if there truly is individual fate ones choice is moot either way ?

Give me a break.... Can anyone really be this illogical and not know it.. ?

Taoism has the white and black yin-yang. (Red and black is for Zen Buddhists)

The two sides represent all that is good and all that is bad, they join up to show that, while you may percieve them as different, they are actually the same. The dot in each side of opposing color represents that there are no absolutes. The whole of the symbol represents the ideal that if you try to remove something from one, you damage the other as well. You cannot destroy good without damaging evil in the process, and vice versa.

Do you agree with this...On the Pope's official mitre is the title "Vicarius Filii Dei," which means "Vicar of the son of God." The claim that this is his official title has been stated publicly through the years. The April 18, 1915 issue of our Sunday Visitor, states: "The letters inscribed in the Pope's mitre are these: "VICARIUS FILII DEI," which is Latin for Vicar of the Son of God." In Revelation 13:18 it says, "Count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred threescore and six (666)." Let's do it now and see what we find. Remember the Roman numerals you learned in school? V=5 I=1 C=100 A=0 R=0 I=1 U=5 S=0 F=0 I=1 L=50 I=1 I=1 D=500 E=0 I=1 "U" and "V" have the same value.Look in your encyclopedia under "Alphabet." total=666 !

As we all know there are many who believe that the Qu'ran or the Bible or other sacred text is the word of God. I'm curious if anyone can come up with a plausible answer to the question: Why would God rely on a book? It would seem rather unreliable to me to convey a universal message through writing when the majority of people couldn't even read and when it's so easy for books to be lost and destroyed either through time or deliberate intent.

After all, they are acting as the bible literally tells them to. The bible is gods word, and tells us how we should behave. Who are we to second guess or try to interperet gods word? Each sect of religion interperets gods word in its own way, because it contradicts itself so much. murder is wrong, murdering a bad kid is okay. It says that! Hey have faith that there is a creator, but come on! You really can't see the ludicrousness of your beliefs? Ask questions! Where did your god come from? chicken and the egg. we don't know and never will with asshats believing in fairy tale stories.

Ideas are good, references better, citations are best.

But I'll take even educated guesses at this point.

It is not a fact, afterall, and people go to school to learn facts, not ideas that require faith.

There is only one Gospel who describes zombies walking the streets of Jerusalem when Jesus died. Why wouldn't the others mention it? If that was true, why wouldn't any mention be made by secular historians of the time either since that is something that would be hard to miss by anyone?
