Jesus** since he's the reason for the season. Its his Birthday and we get to celebrate.

Martin Luther King, I have always been inspired by his speeches. I bet he could really give a good one about Christmas.

Mother Teresa, just to be around her would humble me, she was small in statue but huge in compassion.

lastly, Yongi Cho from Korea, who has the largest church in the world, with well over a million people to date and steady growing. I would like to visit their prayer mountains and observe how they can run such a huge enterprise.

1. Steve Wozniak (Computing Pioneer and co-founder of Apple Computer)

All round nice guy, and an amazing genius who pretty much invented the "PC" as we know it today. The gossip about the old days working on the Apple 2 and with Steve Jobs would keep everyone talking all night. Failing that we can have Segway races.

2. Michael Palin (ex Python and seasoned world traveller).

This is a man who is not just a natural comedian, he's a man who loves to explore the world and meet the people that live in it and takes them as he finds them. I would love to hear the stories of his extraordinary adventures, both on the stage and on the road.

3. Maurice Gibb (Member of the BeeGees)

If he was still alive, Maurice would definitely get an invite. He was the heart and soul of the BeeGees, and the source of much back stage (and onstage) antics and amusement. He was a complex man who struggled with his weaknesses and with fame. He was an interesting character who learnt much of life's important lessons in the limelight and found the true value of family and friends.

4. Sarah McClendon (Longest serving independent reporter at the White house).

Sarah was every president's (from Roosevelt to Bush Jr) nightmare questioner from hell. Eisenhower nearly had an aneurism every time she stood up to ask a question. Funny, astute, probing and out for the truth where ever she could find it. Oh the back corridor stories she could tell.

Individually each of the these people would make an involving conversation. Together their interactions and life experiences would make an evening never to forget.

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Redford...Why? Because I think they know a great deal more about what is going on around the world, and in this country. I think they would have some interesting things to say. Most of these people do a great deal of charity, in and out of this country, with their own money, care about the environment enough to develop develop green homes in Katrina area, or films to with there own money, to wake people up!. There are many more I would like to invite to that dinner but if I had to chose it would be them first.

General Patton, my uncle was in his 3rd Army group of soldiers in the march across Europe. Even after all these years my uncle won't talk about the war. He just says Patton would always be "Old blood and guts" to him.
Adlai Stevenson, first person I voted for after turning 21.
Peter DeVries, author. One of the funniest writers ever. Some of his books were made into movies, i.e. "Tunnel of Love" , "Pete and Tilly".
Alexander McCall Smith, author. Another of the writers who understands human nature and makes me laugh out loud even when I am alone. "The #1 Ladies Detective Agency".

Alive or dead?

If dead, Jesus and John Denver.

If alive Robin Williams,Oprah Winfrey, Michael Buble and The Dali Lama.

Well Jesus is the reason for the season in the first place and I 'd make him a lovely dinner and birthday treats.

John Denver because I just love his music and his ideas.

Robin Williams because he'd keep us all laughing, Oprah because I'd want to hear about her school in South Africa. Michael Buble because I like his crooner style and the Dali Lama because I admire most of his views on the world.

IF I could just spend another day - Christmas would be wonderful ! with my uncle, my father, Jon, (who died so many years ago) and I think my 4th pick would be Jesus - what an incredible experience that would be. Sorry I dont really care about "famous" people. Except someone like Mother Theresa maybe
