If a person is a born again christian and gets mad at God and then tells him he hates him and then tells the holy spirit he hates him but later on repents, do you think this is the unpardonable sin?

To me it`s the historical evidence. The whole Christian fable comes from pagan mythology/astrology. The bible itself is pretty compelling evidence against the Christian God. If you can prove that the source itself is not valid there`s no need to dwell on the irrationalites, absurdities, contradictions in the source. (Why break the lightbulb when you can hit the lightswitch?)

What say you?

About 10 weeks ago I got sick. I have been in and out of hospital 5 times and have had an operation. But the doctors still don't know whats wrong. I am at home at the moment. I am 14 years old and I am in year 9. I have had 9 weeks off school. I am having more tests done next week. At the moment I am attending school for a few lessons a week. My year nine coordinator has been mean about this whole thing. She acts like I am pretending even though I have a doctors note. She is being mean to me and keeps talking about me staying in year nine next year. My mum is against it. Do you think I should stay down. Do you think my teacher is acting badly?

One that I have memorized so far is this one from Matthew;

But whomever denies me before god, I will also deny him before my father who is in heaven. Do no think that I came to bring peace onto the Earth; I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father and daughter against her mother and a daughter in law against her mother in law, and a man's enemies will be members of his household. He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me and he who does not take his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me. He has found his life, will lose it and he who has lost his life for my sake will find it.

Well I can fortune tell but lately I have been less accurate, I know why that is, it's because of my past & present personal issues.
But why have I gotten these weird feelings, I get nervous for no apparent reason (feelings I can't really describe) & something later on that day happens, always bad. It seems this part of me, that intuition part has heightened? Why? Three days straight, first on Thursday it was a Fire, then on Friday my sister had problems with her boyfriend & today a guy falls to the floor in Church? Is there anyway I can stop feeling this way? Or stop it? I prayed to my Goddess, but am having my own personal issues...

Many people assume that, when we die, all of our "bio-thought" is extinguished. In other words, we will no longer have the desire for food, water, sex, physical comfort, etc. In a sense, both the Western and Eastern religions believe in a Nirvana-type state, even though the Westerners don't like to word it that way.

However, consider the fact that our minds remember the pleasures and pains of the biological aspect of their existence, and would probably still want the positive aspects them later on. Even once the soul has disincorporated from the physiological matrix through which it perceived the world, it would still remember. Let's face it, can't you imagine how good your favorite food tastes, even when you're full? Can't very old people remember how good sex was when they were young, even though they can't do it anymore? Once the mind grasps a pleasure or a pain, it remembers, and from there is goes beyond the physical.

When we die, is it really "Nirvana time, dude"?

What was the first thing that came to your mind on this and why? What are your thoughts on it? =) I'm sorry I've put it in this category on purpose because I'm pretty sure there are lots of opinionated people here compared to... "home + garden", for example, lol.

If jesus taught that christianity was not for the gentiles but for the jews, how did the apostles turn it into a religion for the gentiles that turned the jews into the murderers of jesus?

Jesus preaching christianity is for the jews only,

Matthew

10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

If you want to see the apostles accuse the jews of deicide, just read most of the rest of the bible.

Yea - sure, you live for your family, friends, to enjoy life, etc. But in the long run, there really is no point. We simply die, rot, and that's it.

I noticed in the list of popes there were some who were not canonized saints. I have also read about Pope Alexander VI (Rodrigo Borgia). A lot of bad things are written about him.

How does the existence of bad popes affect the Church's claim to being the true Church?

I want to know the Catholic Church's position on this and the opionion of Catholics. I don't want the opinion of Catholic bashing fundies. So please, if you are not Catholic do not answer.

...and one of their favorites seems to be that "science once thought that the earth was flat; they were wrong, etc. etc."

But, wait; was it science that said that the earth was flat?...

"Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever." Psalms 104:5

Well, maybe God didn't mean that the earth was flat, just that it sits in one place and doesn't move, and that the sun revolves around it. After all,

"The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved." Psalms 93:1

"The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose." Ecclesiastes 1:5

So how could scientists have gone so far astray? How is it not plain to them that the earth sits motionless and the sun revolves around the earth? It's all right there in the bible, after all...
