What are your opinions on the whole "Tarot Cards" and telling the future thing?

What do you think about the tartot card readings? Do you think they work? What do you think about "people's auras"? Please tell me as much as you can about this...thoughts, opinions, or facts.

If you are using Tarot cards as an oracle, you may be more inclined to read card meanings and spreads. But if using Tarot Cards as a tool for Psychic Ability you would be less likely to hold to any hard and fast guide lines. I’m a profession psychic and use Tarot Cards in a random way. In 25 years of professional readings I’ve never used any ‘meanings, spreads or reversals’ of tarot cards from any books.

So if you want to develop ‘Psychic Ability’ throw the books and guidelines away and let the images inspire you. But you may need to try the Rider Waite or another imaged deck.

Before I was a Christian, I had a Tarot card reading that was extremely accurate. I can still tell you, though I am a Christian now, that I was impressed by the woman's ability to tell me what she told me. She also told me that she knew that I was psychic, which was true from before the reading.

So I think that there is something to it. Though I wouldn't have a Tarot card reading now, as it would conflict with me conscience. God is my informer now. He tells me what He wants me to know.

I have only seen auras a couple of times in my life ( I'm 47 ) . I cannot tell you what they mean.

Well, I use the Tarot as an aid in divination. After studying the Tarot, I know that its purpose isn't to tell the future. The true purpose of the Tarot is to assist in seeking. A reading will show you things that you may not be considering in your quest for something. It is a perversion of the Tarot to use it as an answering machine for the future. It is truly for the present.

Tarot cards, tea leaves, crystal balls....all a bunch of flim-flam.
However, I'll tell you how you can have a little fun with someone who has faith in tarot card reading.
Before you begin your reading, ask the person to get up from the table and fetch some paper and a pen on the kitchen counter or whatever. While their back is to you, switch the normal deck to a deck loaded with Death cards and let the fun begin!
I know that's a little heartless, but I bet the expression on his or her face would be priceless!

Tarot, I've used them myself, and they worked, its not so much "telling the future" but it is more a tool to allow one's higher self to express information it has acess to as to various likely future paths, using information that is not generally avaliable to the concious self.

think of it this way. you have 2 "selves"(that are relevant here) your regular self, and your higher self. your higher self has perception avaliable to it, that your regular self does not. it is also able to "process" information at a much different way and rate, and general volume of "data".

Tarot cards provide a way for your higher self to communicate some of the information and "results" of that information, in a predictive way, to the regular self.

tarot cards are NOT like watching tomorrow's news today, or anything like that. its much more like a galactic weather report, but more accurate when done right.

auras, well, I think its something some people tend to misinteperet, because it is closer to overlapping with what can be sensed and tested physically through science.

there are alot of misinteperetations, but auras definitely exist. its really not even that "special" per se, its just... ok, if you have a magnet, its just a magnet right? but really it has energy around it, if you put a piece of paper over it and pass iron shavings over the paper, they will move and configure in correlation to that energy. (energy isn't exactly right, but I hope you follow what I mean)

now, imagine if those fields were actually visible like we can see light? would it really MEAN much or would it just be part of how it was? living beings put off energy, some physical electromagnetic fields that are detectable with scientific equipment, and these do correlate to some extent with auras, and the higher self has its own energy as well..

I think it depends on how strongly you believe in them to begin with.

Personally, I think they can work if you focus on the issue you are wanting a reading about (tarot cards). As far as auras, Im not familiar with them or had one done but it would be cool to see what mine is and if its accurate,etc.

To me, its almost like how well do prayers work for various religions...if you believe in it strong enough you will see or hear the answer you are searching for. Might be from the reading itself or it might be that you opened your heart and mind up enough to see it for yourself.

Personally I believe that everything having to do with the occult is demonic. Since demons are real, yeah, I think that sort of thing can appear to work. Not that it will benefit us in the long run.

All of these things are an attempt by the demons to mislead people and take them further away from good righteous teachings about God.

In Galatians 5:19-21 it says ''Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, contentions, divisions, sects, envies, drunken bouts, revelries, and things like these. As to these things I am forewarning YOU, the same way as I did forewarn YOU, that those who practice such things will not inherit God's kingdom.''

Spiritism type acts are clearly singled out as something that must be avoided if we wish to please God.

But you may say , it doesn't seem that bad....
The Bible says of Satan's cunning ways --2 Corinthians 11:14 ''And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. ''

Yes , do not be mislead , these seemingly innocent , perhaps even fun things are BAD.

You simply can not please God if you participate in communicating with the demons.

1 Corinthians 10:21-22 - ''YOU cannot be drinking the cup of Jehovah and the cup of demons; YOU cannot be partaking of "the table of Jehovah" and the table of demons.''
