Theres this Middle Eastern guy that i know that desperately pretends to be Italian even though hes way too dark to look like one and he tries to pick up women by saying to the woman that he's Italian. I know that everybody is desperate to be Italian like me but he needs to just end the lies. Would it be rude to say no he's really not Italian he's a fake or should i just not say anything and let him enjoy his fantasy and let him pretend to be another ethnicity that he's not?

okay I decided to mess with some of the French's heads and say that the bible is fiction just to see how they would react. (Yes I do know some french) and look at length of the second answer.

A big argument for ID is that the human eye, for instance, is so complex that it requires a designer. Who is that designer? Better yet, would that designer not also be complex and, thus, also require a designer? Who designed the designer? Who designed the designer of the designer? etc. etc.

It is estimated that there are 30,000 different types of Christianity in the world today , ‘ Positive Christianity ‘ – the choice of Hitler, is but one of the 30,000 variations .

Where do we draw the line?
Are we Drawing lines in the Sand ?
Are the Atheist Christians real Christians ?
Not to mention the Mormons , the JW’s , the ‘ Jews for Jesus ‘ and ROMAN Christians , who just so happen to have all the answers buried in the Vatican ?

Soz for the Headline-catching question, when does a Christian stop ( or Start ) being a Christian ? How much ‘ Belief in the Heart ‘ is required to be a Christian ? Enough to kill another person ?

If you look at the worlds religions and spiritual beliefs you can find many similarities over a wide matrix of belief. certain commonalities are recurring, such as a Global Divine Mother, A Father of Light, Angels, compassion, one human family, guardian angels, a purpose to existence which goes beyond self interest, mandalas, Great Spirit, Holy Spirit, human stewardship of the planet, dark and light spirits, relationships between disease and spiritual imbalance .....and many more.

Have you ever heard the saying, "They say if you want to make God laugh, all you have to do is tell him your plans".

I personally think his whole plan is pretty laughable.

It seems to be in a stage equivalent to adolescence--rebellious, volatile, indignant, demanding, seeking independence. Christianity was a bit like this in the Dark Ages. If so, does this mean we can expect Islam to simmer down in just another 400+ years?

most Christian responses were that you can tell by what the bible has to say

I was reading that only 4 % of american teenagers are Christians.
Think thats sad. Are you a Christian? We need to take a stand for what we believe in! We need to take back this generation for God!! What do you think?

I have been debating between two people right now and they are both really good friends. I only want to tell one of them though. I know they will keep it secret because I trust them and I don't want to come out until after high school (I'm a senior).
So here are their descriptions:

Carly - Volcom-brand wearing girl who is kinda punk but not really, has been my friend since kindergarten, knows some gay people. Thinks homosexuality is gross. ( I could change her view?)

Cierra - Really religious friend who I have been friends with since 5th grade. We have hung out a lot and have spent lots of time with each other. She is caring, understanding, and open to my feelings. (Could her religion interfere with our friendship?)

Ironically, they are both my exes. They are both really nice also.
(I will tell my parents some time, but not now)
Please no rude comments or anything, this is a genuine question and I would really appreciate good answers. Thanks.

My boyfriend and I are going to be at Disneyland park on Christmas day, and we plan to get there the second it opens. Does anyone have any REAL EXPERIENCES of being there on December 25th and know how packed the park gets (long lines, grumpy people, etc)? No opinions or guesses please, just real experience.

I work at this amazing independent bookstore. I've been here for 14 months and I absolutely love my job. They know I'm gay, have no problem with that at all and we are all like family. The only drawback is that I don't make enough money to pay my bills. I just got a small raise but it still isn't enough. There is also almost no room for any kind of growth here. After years of applying, I've finally been offered a job at the university in town. My pay is going up dramatically, I can go back to school for free, the benefits are amazing, I'll get 2 weeks paid vacation at Christmas...it goes on and on. I'm just struggling with the fact that I have to tell my boss tomorrow (whom I ADORE) that I'm leaving in two weeks. Christmas is our busiest time and my job is very specialized. I feel like a traitor even though I know this is a great opportunity for me to improve my and my family's life. Any advice?

I am a young man (early 20s) suffering immensely from sexual attration to men. Thus far I have never acted on my attractions and never wish to do so.

Instead, I am hoping and praying I will be able to overcome these attractions and be straight. I know I cannot function as a homosexual, because for me the shame, guilt, STD risk, and religious consequences are too great for me to ever be happy in this way of life.

So do you believe change is possible? And if so, how can I change?

This question is serious and desperate and I do not mean to cause anyone offense.

Yet the Harry Potter series was read by most children?
The new English versions of the bible are easier to read and I realize that the older versions were hard to understand.
I thought because it was such a large book, with a lot of reading. But the Harry Potter books are quite large and the reading is very complex.
Could it be that parents are not stressing enough that the reading of the bible is very important?
It tells of man's history and where we are in the stream of time and what the earth will experience in the future.
Looks like that would be of interest to children?
Why do you think it isn't?

Many non-believers bring up myths of osiris and so forth who they try to compare with Christ. Of course someone who hasn't experienced Christ working in there lives wouldn't understand. But why do they not bring up the thought that osiris and others were more likely false fables that are used to deceive those who have experienced the wonders of Jesus?

A married couple who both make $33K a year. They have about $25K in debt on student loans and a car (no credit cards), which they are slowly paying down.

They are now pregnant and the wife plans on staying home once the baby is born. This was a mutual decision be the wife and the husband. This will mean that they will now be living on half of their income. This also means they will be short on their bills (monthly) buy about $580.

The husband is going to get a second job while the wife is pregnant to start saving money. Once the baby is born they will pull $580/month from that savings. If the husband's promotion doesn't come through by the time the savings is almost out he will get a second job again.

What is your opinion on this situation?
