I would listen to anything that was trying to talk to me. Maybe it holds the key...the key to what you may ask...just the key! =)

A traveling overseer actually spoke of this subject a few weeks ago.
He told us to imagine how crafty Satan is.... Here's Eve walking through Eden and she happens to notice the tree in the middle- the forbidden one. And look, here comes a snake, crawling up the trunk and onto a branch where it then takes a bite and Eve sees that the fruit "is good for food". Not only that, but now the serpent begins to speak!- a thing which had never occurred before! It asks her: "“Is it really so that God said YOU must not eat from every tree of the garden?”". When she replied only that tree was forbidden and that God said eating of it would result in death, the snake says: "“YOU positively will not die. 5 For God knows that in the very day of YOUR eating from it YOUR eyes are bound to be opened and YOU are bound to be like God, KNOWING good and bad.”"
Eve should have stood back to evaluate the situation. Here's a snake, speaking, which had never spoken before... telling her to do things contrary to what she had already been taught... why did she allow herself to be deceived? She should have known better.
So too is it for us today. Just because something may look or even sound convincing, does not make it true. We need to always stay on guard against untruth.
If a snake spoke to me, knowing what I know now, I hope I'd run like crazy in the opposite direction lol

We have no way of knowing how long Adam and Eve were in the Garden before the fall of man. The Bible does'nt lay that out for us. But you can conclude that it was a while. It is obvious that it was not the first time that Eve and the serpent conversed. She trusted him, or she never would have believed him. Don't forget that the serpent was also beautiful, just as satan was. Remember the word lucifer means angel of light.

First I'd probably question if the thing was real or if I was hallucinating. Then if it was real I'd freak out and then most likely I'd listen to what it had to say. Not necessarily believe it or do what it said though.

In the same way as a tree talking to me I'd be rooted to the ground in fear and would call it "Sir" "Your Honour" or anything else it wanted, even "Hey beautiful!"

Run like hell, I hate the buggers and they scare the life out of me, but so do worms and any other reptiles. Now if it was a lion, bear, horse or such like I would be quite happy to spend the day having a chat with them.

I would stand very still in shock, then when the snake spoke I would probably faint....so I would miss what old snaky was trying to tell me.

Most people would probably either a) take off running, or b) be too stunned to even move. I think I would just sit there speechless.
