I admit... I was skeptical too, until I ran into this amazing song... Here's a sample...

It doesn't have to be, but every piece I've ever encountered has certainly been downright awful.

Unfortunately, I can't access that site at work, but I doubt it would change my stance on Christian rock much.

The weird thing is, I love Gospel bluegrass tunes. And the religious Christmas carols are the only ones I can stand. I despise secular Christmas music with an unholy passion.

I love Christian rock!!!
Skillet, Pillar, The Benjamin Gate, etc
Here's a song by Skillet, I love it! You should all take a listen and decide for yourself. :)

BTW that song clip is such a stupid joke, Christian rock is awesome.

It doesn't have to be, it's just that the good artists who are also Christian don't work for Christian labels. If they're actually good musicians, they can get work with the secular companies. Good artists also generally have things to say about things other then Jesus.

My 14 year old son was telling me about this Christian rock song he liked. He is an atheist. I told him I was surprised.

Dylan said "good music is good music".

It's not boring, it's about nonsense, wailed by people who couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.

People go into Christian music not because they are talented, but because they are christian.

In many rock songs, the lyrics are garbled enough to be non-understandable. If religious 'rock-style' songs are presented in such a way, I imagine that no-one would object at all. It IS just that the 'Jesus is so fabulous' content that I imagine that such wondrous hits would contain would just make me want to barf.

That's awful. Seriously. Christians should not be allowed to try to make metal. It just creates a mess.
