A big argument for ID is that the human eye, for instance, is so complex that it requires a designer. Who is that designer? Better yet, would that designer not also be complex and, thus, also require a designer? Who designed the designer? Who designed the designer of the designer? etc. etc.

Another argument is the human brain... which is more complex than all of the rest of the universe combined. God is the designer and creator and no... He does not need to be designed Himself...He can be outside of His design or creation. An eternal, perfect God has no need to be designed since He is perfect already. It's a hard concept to grasp for us mortal humans.
God existed before time itself.

God is the designer and he was not created. He is and always has been. Sorry I can't explain that part but sometimes there will be things in life that we just cannot explain and we will not learn the answers til we get to heaven.
