Many non-believers bring up myths of osiris and so forth who they try to compare with Christ. Of course someone who hasn't experienced Christ working in there lives wouldn't understand. But why do they not bring up the thought that osiris and others were more likely false fables that are used to deceive those who have experienced the wonders of Jesus?

Paganism is paganism. period. The prior myths had power because of their similarity to the truth of Christ, not the other way around. Our creator is sovreign. From the begining man had an inkling, God used the Hebrews to show the truth to all mankind. It is the God of Abraham that overcame polytheism in Egypt with the exodus of moses and many, many other miracles and blessings of the Hebrews.
The exactness of the description of the blood lines of the Hebrews in the old testament is the scientific DNA proof of Jesus Christ. That information is in the Bible for a very good reason. The prophesy of our slavation is documented exactly for a reason. It overcomes ALL mythology, ALL paganism, if you want to worship a malleable, humanly manipulated god or gods in a box go right ahead but you will be missing out on the real blessings of the all powerfull God that gives me salvation and LOVE.

Well, seeing as you've never experienced Osiris, it's understandable that you just wouldn't understand it.
But why they wouldn't bring up that it was false fables used against the story of Jesus is the fact that it's millennia older than the story of Jesus. But that's ok that you would see it that way... maybe Osiris will bless you one day with understanding.

Clearly you have never felt the power of Osiris working in your life. Clearly this Jesus myth was created to deceive you into turning your back on the great god Osiris. Someone such as myself who has experienced the wonders of the Egyptian gods cannot be deceived thusly. Repent now while there is still time!

I bring up the similarities because I am not the only one to see them (especially the similarities between some of the Greek Gods and Jesus)

I can honestly say that I tried to be Christian, and it failed as that faith did NOT speak to my heart. This btw, only makes me a non-believer in CHRISTIANITY. I do believe in the REALITY of my OWN religion.

And considering that the stories of Osiris and Dionysus are OLDER than the stories of Jesus, I would say that there is at least a POSSIBLITY that there was some "borrowing" in order to bring as many converts as possible to Christianity once it became the official religion of the Roman/Byzantine empire....

*scratches head* Because Osiris was here first. No one had experienced the wonders of Jesus when Osiris was first being worshipped.

Because they're not false fables? The Egyptians believed it was true, just like Christians believe the bible is true. Maybe 2,000 years from now, people will look back and wonder how people could have believed silly stories about Jesus.
