Hello!! So, I am writing a paper for a class (Anth 332, Shamanism and Healing) on people's experiences of losing a loved one, sensing the presence of those who have passed on, etc. etc. Please, answering even just ONE of these questions would help, as long as you don't mind possibly being quoted in a paper. Thank you soooooooo much!!!!!

1.Have you ever been close to someone who has died? If so, who? How close were you?
2.Have you ever felt a strong sense of the presence of someone who has died?
3.Have you ever had vivid memories of someone who has died?
4.Vivid dreams?
5.Do certain sights, sounds, smells, etc. bring back strong memories of a person?
6.Do certain places (specific or unspecific) give you a strong sense of the dead?
7.Have you ever felt the presence of a person/people that you did NOT personally know? (i.e. being in a place and sensing spirits of people who died long ago, sensing past unrest)

Why is this?

I don't know any Muslims so I thought I'd ask this question here.

I understand the Koran claims that Jews are really dogs and monkeys...? Is this true?

I also understand that Christians are constantly being attacked, and opressed in very ugly ways in Islamic countries. Why...?

The typical Christian views range from: "God is incorporeal", "he is everywhere", "he lives in a different dimension", "he's omnipresent/omniscient"

to: "He made us humans in his own image", "Jesus sits on the right hand of the Lord", "God feels/sees/thinks", etc

So what is it then? Does God have body parts or not? If so, when you say "he's everywhere", are his feet and arms in the same place at the same time? Or in different places?

find it hard to admit that they are bisexual and are attracted to guys? is there more of a stigma about homosexuality amounst men?
i have quite a few bisexual male friends and they really struggle with saying that they are bisexual so i don't put pressure on them and just let them know that i am there to talk. any bisexual men felt this way?

A Sunday school teacher asked her class, "What was Jesus' Mother's name?"

One child answered, "Mary."

The teacher then asked, "Who knows what Jesus' Father's name was?"

Another child said, "The Verge."

Confused, the teacher asked, "Where did you get that?"

The little one said, "Well, you know they are always talking about The Verge 'n' Mary."

Hi. I was just wondering.....

In the Bible it tells us that Adam and Eve were the first people on earth....making Cain and Abel the 3rd and 4th, right?

Why, then, after Cain killed Abel was he saying to God that if he had to be a vagrant all over the world (because God was banishing him from the land) that whoever he came upon might kill him? (paraphrased from Genisis Chapter 4) I thought at that time there were only the four of them.

Thanks so much for your thoughtful answers.

My kids (teenagers) asked me and I would like to know how to explain it.

I am going to go get it for a challenge that was issued earlier and I am supposed to be reading Chapter 7. I have been thinking about reading the whole thing.

Should I go ahead and read the whole thing?

Atheists would you be interested in having a discussion with me if I read the whole thing?
