Hello!! So, I am writing a paper for a class (Anth 332, Shamanism and Healing) on people's experiences of losing a loved one, sensing the presence of those who have passed on, etc. etc. Please, answering even just ONE of these questions would help, as long as you don't mind possibly being quoted in a paper. Thank you soooooooo much!!!!!
1.Have you ever been close to someone who has died? If so, who? How close were you?
2.Have you ever felt a strong sense of the presence of someone who has died?
3.Have you ever had vivid memories of someone who has died?
4.Vivid dreams?
5.Do certain sights, sounds, smells, etc. bring back strong memories of a person?
6.Do certain places (specific or unspecific) give you a strong sense of the dead?
7.Have you ever felt the presence of a person/people that you did NOT personally know? (i.e. being in a place and sensing spirits of people who died long ago, sensing past unrest)

My family is full of crazy nutjob psychics... myself included... haha
Seriously though, my family line contains a lot of noteable psychics and alike and as such, we all have a number of abilities which can be deployed at will.
1. Yes, many, not uncommon. Many close, many not so close.
2. Yes, the first time was after my aunty died when I was in my early teens. I saw her hovering around the casket when my parents took me in for a viewing before burial. Now I am visited by dead family when there is a problem in the family or when I am in need of guidance or support.
3. Yes and no.
4. Always.
5. Not really, though I'm sure it does for other people.
6. Again, not really, I work in a hospital and will occasionally get spooked by someone screaming out for help cause their body won't work... that is always sad.
7. Yes. Absolutely, frequently. A lot of spirits have no idea they are not embodied and just go about their daily life. Get dressed, get on the bus, go to work, hang out with their kids... also very sad.

1.) Yes I have. My do, Bailey who was a spaniel mix. I know dog's aren't people but they are still living things and can be grieved as much as humans. I was very close to Bailey. I took her one walks weekly. I fed her, played with her, and she was always with me since I was born. She dies when she was 17, I was 11. It still has an effect on me a couple years later. I still miss her and wish she was here now with me. WE had to put her down because she a cancer or a brain tumor and was going very crazy.
2.) Yes I have. I have felt Bailey nudge up to me and lick me. I get a cool sensation but a warm sensation at the same time. It's hard to explain.
3.) Yes, once again.I can see Bailey when she was still full of spunk running up and down our halls, ripping at wrapping paper and attacking balloons.
4.) yes they're the same dreams as in question #3
5) Barking will usually bring me back to Bailey or she always had this certain smell to her that I will never forget.
6.)usually places tha the dead have been and visited a lot.
7.)I'm pretty sure I have but it's not as distinct as people (or animals) I have known
