As has already been mentioned, the size does not matter at all. it's the energy that you put inot the spellworking that does the trick. If you feel that you absolutely HAVE to have a red candle and can't run right out and buy one, then rummage through all your nubs and collect ALL the nubs of the appropriate color, Put them into a canning jar ( A glass mayonaise jar will work as well), put that into a pot of biling water and melt all the wax. Take a peice of yarn, twine or thcik string and soak it in the melted wax and then take and stick it to the bottom of a large tumbler and pour the melted wax in an inch aat a time and wait for that to harden. AKeep doing that until you have either used up all the melted wax OR you hjave a candle the size you want. Presto! you have a brand new candle to use for your spellworking. Plus, if you focused on the purpose of your spell and the candle, you have added extra energy into the candle and raised the likelihood of success in your spell.
Hope this helps you out a bit.
Brightest Blessings,

In my experience, it only matters if YOU think it matters. I've used every size from the 25 cent candles to 3 wick pillar candles. Doesn't seem to make a difference. And in one of my more financially deprived moment when all I had was white emergency candles, I grabbed a green maker and colored it green. And it still worked just fine.
Remember. The most important tool of magick is your mind. The rest is just for emphasis.

Not necessarily. I usually use smaller candles just for safety's sake and it has never hindered me. If I am using a bigger candle, it is because there is a reason why I want the spell to "ripen" over time. Or because I want it burning while I complete another project. Only do this if you can be around to watch the candle for the entire time is is aflame. Size does not matter, your intent and focus do.
Good luck in your endeavors!

The size of candles are vital only if your workings require the candles to burn for a certain number of hours. Blessed Be.

Like everyone is saying no size isn't important. I buy all sizes and colors whether I need them or not. That way I am set for what I need when I need them.
I hit the clearence at TJ Maxx and Marshall's they have a beautiful selection and sometimes you can get a large boxed sets. Target has a good selection too.
Live and learn.
Blessed Be.

The size of the candle doesn't matter. You can use any size you feel comfortable with or that is available.

I don't think it matters unless the spell/ritual calls for a specific size. As long as your focus is where it needs to be, it'll be ok.
Oh and ditto to Glee about not letting them burn unattended. If mine isn't done buring by the time I finish my ritual, I sit it in the tub, well away from the shower curtain etc., and let it burn out there. Good luck!

I have never bothered with the size of my candles, I think that function and color are more important. It has never affected my magick working, so please use what ever sized red candle you can find.
Blessed Be

Size matters little... if it matters at all.
I mean it's not rational to use a gigantic gallon-of-paint-sized candle, but... you could if you wanted to.

height won't matter -- little nubs will work just as well as brand-new tapers
