I'm going to ask you a question:
Have you considered the possibility there might not be a God? Honestly?
You seem to have a problem believing that atheists actually DON'T believe in any kind of God. Yep, it's true - we believe that all Gods, including the Christian God, are made up. We cannot then hate something we consider imaginary.
I'm pretty sure you're not talking about people who genuinely hate "God" (how many such people genuinely exist?) so I've answered on that assumption.

Hate is such a strong word. How about greatly concerned for the future of our planet because so many people turn to Good for answers and are clueless about the reality of what's going on. Blind faith and delusions stagnate the mind. And with our world on the verge of a major calamity due to global warming and over crowding, we need all the intelligence we can get.

The only people who can possibly hate god are those who believe he exists.
And those people are typically religious.
I've never met anyone who hated god, and actually believed he existed. That would be rather foolish, don't you think? I mean, it would be in a person's best interest to make nice with an actual god, right?
Hopefully that will make you aware that atheists must have some pretty damn good reasons for not believing.

I don't literally hate God. After all, He's imaginary and doesn't actually exist. What I actually hate about religion is the persistent and willful ignorance of those who prefer to believe in mythological superstition. Humanity has matured far beyond childish stories about imaginary supernatural deities. What I hate about "God" is that those who believe in Him contribute very little to civilization, while working relentlessly to prevent humanity from ever achieving its potential. Christianity is an ancient religion designed expressly for ignorant slaves and we modern people are neither ignorant nor slaves. It's time to stop wallowing in the superstitions of the past and to work together toward achieving humanity's destiny. People who "love Jesus as God" live perpetually in the past and relentlessly seek to undermine humanity's future. That's reason enough for me to oppose them.

1. I don't hate God.
2. I don't down you for loving Jesus as God, but for me (Jewish) this is idolatry to believe that God impregnated a virgin, the virgin had a god/man child, this child served as a virgin god/man blood sacrifice for sin, and that this child is God.
No, it doesn't say those things in our Torah, all of those are mistranslations by the Church. None of this is found in Judaism, it all comes from ancient paganism, not from us. It is idolatry for a Jew to believe that God is a man.
So, although I don't down you for believing these things, just realise that you're believing ancient paganism and not something that came from Judaism or the Torah ("Old Testament"). So you can see why it's ridiculous, and blasphemous for Jews, that Christians try to convert Jews to this idolatry.

It's not God that some hate - it's all the nasty stuff done in His name and the weird and hateful people who do it in His name. If you hate God then you believe in Him as you can't hate someone that doesn't exist.
I don't down anyone for loving Jesus as God but I draw the line when they try to push their God belief down my throat and/or tell me I NEED their God.

Anyone who actively hates God has problems with parental authority and is not operating from a religious viewpoint. Those who don't believe in God don't bother to hate him.

I have never heard of anyone hating God except for your fantasy boogie man Satan. Not believing that God exist is not to hate God. How can one hate something that does not exist.

Because of the distress it causes in families. Because it makes people waste their lives on nonsense and changes them into people they aren't - like my mother, sister, aunt and cousins. In my case the religion destroyed my family and drove me apart from them.
I have good reasons for hating the religion though I wouldn't know anything about God or Jesus and really couldn't care. I hate what happened because of the religion. To them, this garbage was more important to them than anything else.
