My boyfriend and I are going to be at Disneyland park on Christmas day, and we plan to get there the second it opens. Does anyone have any REAL EXPERIENCES of being there on December 25th and know how packed the park gets (long lines, grumpy people, etc)? No opinions or guesses please, just real experience.

I have not been there on Christmas, but have been to Disney World the week of Thanksgiving. It is crowded at Thanksgiving.

Christmas is busy, as many tourists come out here during that time. The average temp on xmas day is 74 degrees. Sometimes it's over 80. Many people come out here from the east to enjoy the weather. Some good days I recommend: Sunday after Thanksgiving. Many of the tourists are heading home and the afternoons are not very crowded then. New Years day. Same as above. Super Bowl Sunday. When my kids were younger, we always went on Super Bowl Sunday. The game doesn't start until 4:00, and it's always boring in the first half. Go to D-land early and stay until around 5:00 or 6:00. Then enjoy the second half of the game.

Do you have your tickets already? They're sold in advance and are sold out way ahead of time every year. If you don't have your ticket yet, you won't be able to get in, unfortunately. If you do have a ticket, I would get there ahead of time (not the second it opens) because you'll still have to line up to get in.

That said, I've been three times and one year went over Christmas. I'm sorry to say, it was absolutely the worst time to go. Not to be negative, but I will never go over Christmas again. It just isn't worth it. I think that Christmas day is the most packed day at the park of the year.

The lines for each ride are way too long and you spend so much time just standing in line during the day. People do get grouchy because they have to wait for so long and the crowds are so thick that you can't help but bump people, step on feet, etc. Of course someone is going to get upset over that.

Anyway, sorry to be so negative! As I said, Christmas was definitely the worst of the three time I've been. (I've also been in October and February, which are two of their least busy times of the year.)

My boyfriend grew up right near DisneyLand, so I never have been there at Christmas time, because we moved, but he said that it's always basically insane there at Christmas time.

I work there, park attendance had to be booked in advance, your regular ticket doesn't cover it.

All sold out sorry. You'll have to go somewhere else
