You see there’s this girl at my college and she’s really hot. Blonde hair, blue eyes, hot body.....you get what I m saying.
Plus she is single well at least for now. We kind of been hanging out together lately, just friendly talk. But the problem is I m black (not that it’s wrong for me to date her) but I m like living in a city which is more than 90 percent white and its hard to find a black girl (that is single).
Don’t get me wrong though I m fairly good-looking for a black guy myself. I m tall somewhat muscular and my skin colour and hair would make you think I m t mixed race, and I m taking Pharmaceutical Sciences in college which might impress her .but I m a really shallows type of person and I m afraid I m might get bad looks from people. So should I go for her or just lay back and go look for a brunette or something?

I went to downtown Atlanta for a few days.
I encountered many beggars.
These people have learned to beg in the name of Jesus - and then we have that Scripture to put a big guilt trip on us if we don't give to them, but I don't know these people and if they can hustle me for a dollar they can sell used cars right? most of these people use the money for booze anyway - right? if you help them are you really helping them? how many people take that money and buy a suit with it? I just have my reservations but I dont' want to do the wrong thing. Whenever I've been down on my luck nobody was there to help me. so I just dont' see how God really wants me to help someone who is content doing nothing and hustling people for money all day. someone I don't know and don't trust. I honestly dont' have much more money than they do either. But I don't want to be calloused in my heart either. I just get major bad vibes from these people.

Christians and Atheists!!! We all know why we're at eachother's throats here at R&S. We're fighting over fence straddlers! The I-haven't-decided-yets. The fence straddlers 9 times out of 10 are looking for is the side that can present the best case.

So... WITHOUT insulting the opposing side, I would like to give everyone the chance to represent their positions

I am a nice decent church-going girl, with morals, and not loose. Just wanted to state who I am. Now, I've been set up with men who are drunks, gamblers, or women haters. Or who just want sex and nothing else.
I am not looking for anyone as I know I just want a man who is pure-hearted and believes in God.
Why do I get set up with the losers? I find myself being offended by these people. I thought they would KNOW better.

Do you think the way gay men are portrayed in the media is damaging to the goal of eliminating stereotypes and prejudiced views, our image as a social group and the attempt to educate the general public on the real facts of homosexuality?

Personally I can think of several British programmes (all entertainment based) and some American ones which portray gay men as camp, ridiculously flamboyant idiots. It annoys the hell out of me, partly because I find it offensive, partly because I feel it is counterproductive to the attempts of making homosexuality seen as acceptable within society, and partly because it makes me feel like I'm supposed to live up to some media-created image of what I'm supposed to be.

Why do females never do school shootings? Why is it always males? Is there something wrong with males that makes them do things like this? Is it not hypocritical to use one's right to freedom of speech to further a view while blocking other's rights in the process? How can one group have freedom to extoll their views while censoring others, including neo-cons and religious conservatives, who also have a right to free speech? People confuse like and dislike with legal and illegal status in law. They have now censored religious expression, e.g. banning a cross or Buddhist symbol in a park, and art, taking down paintings and sculptures of nudes, etc. How can someone protest freedom of speech when they need freedom of speech and the right to protest in order to launch their protest, while calling for censorship?

if you really believed the righteousness you spout, why do you have a computer and an internet connection? you could sell those and feed the less fortunate. why do you have any material positions at all? your reward comes in the next life right?
