The soul is just the emotional drive(feelings and such) of the mind;most animals posses this.
I think what you might mean is whether or not we posses a spirit within us that is separate from our body.

I like your question; I really do.
All I would add is that one does not have to believe he or she has a soul for that soul to exist. Thus, you may have a soul even if you choose to deny the existence of God and the existence of souls.....a small point, I agree.

Without God there is no life in us. Physical life is given and maintained by God (Matthew 6:25-34) Meaningful and fulfilled life comes only when it is free to give itself to God as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
Vitality in all of its breadth and width of meaning is meant by the soul. A person doesn't have a soul; a person is a soul.
Soul designates the feelings, the wishes, and the will of humans.

What makes you think people don't have souls just because they don't believe in a god? Seems to me (if souls exist), that everyone would have one whether or not they believe in a deity.

I am Atheist concerning any form of deity. However, I do believe we have an energy source that dwells within each of us. Call it a soul if you prefer. I am an Animist. I believe all things have an energy (or Spirit). I believe when we die, our energy field remains after the body dies. I think it is that residual energy of a person you see when you experience a ghost. Ghosts are those that either do not realize they have died or refuse to reincarnate/move on. Energy is always changing it's form, but never truly goes away.

They're just lost and can't find their way to God.
They have eyes but cannot see
They have ears but cannot hear
They have a tongue but cannot praise the Holy One!
They need guidance. A Harvester.
The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few!

Those who do not believe in God are ignorant and do not want to take responsibilty for their selves so being ingnorant they do not want to believe they have a soul which u do by the way One day you will see

I don't, but some idiot was asking folks to sell their souls on here, and I would not do that either, even if I did consider it easy money, for to accept the money I would be hypocritical of my own beliefs, to accept money for something I did not personally believe existed - and I would not sit comfortably in the knowledge that I had conned an individual.

I think you dont ave a clue about people who dont believe in god.
Go do some research, or ask the same question in a different way.
