I have 1 on my shoulder, planning on getting another on the other shoulder. I'll probably get some text across the lower back down the road.

I don't think they're evil myself, I like them.

Interesting story, a friend of mine has 66 tats...one for each book of the bible. He was the pincushion for his brother's practice. Same dude that did mine for me.

They were an interesting family.

Currently have a fire dragon on the shoulder, my Chinese zodiac sign. Planning another similar with "conflict" written behind it in Chinese. Still in the drawing phase.

Not sure on the lower text yet, have a few options I'm thinking about. :)

I've got 10, and I'm going to get more. They are addictive.

I DO want to get a Bible verse tattooed on me. I know, me? but wait.

Lev. 19:28 Thou shalt not cut your bodies for the dead, or get tattoo marks on your body, I am the LORD.

Just for the pure irony of it.

Are Tattoos Evil

I've been a born again Christian for 29 years and wanted a tattoo for a long time. I finally got one about 4 years ago and plan on getting more. There is nothing in the bible that states it is a sin and most people who say it is only say so because they don't like them.

I have no tattoos. I'm not a big fan of them. They always end up looking like a mess when you start getting old. And since I don't believe in the concept of sin....it's all just a personal choice.

They were forbidden for Jews to get in the Old Testament. The New Testament doesn't mention tattoos. I don't think that they are evil, but I would be careful because they can carry all kinds of gang messages and symbolism that you may not be aware of.

Oh Johhff. They're only a sin if they're on your naughty parts.
I've got one on my lower back (SHOCKER!)
But it's not a butterfly (DOUBLE SHOCKER) Or a rose(*gasp*) Or some stupid tribal crap.

It's a little seahorse I drew myself.
If I had any real idea of what else to get (and I did draw something pretty kick *** that I thought of getting on my hip, that my sister threw away because she thought it was doodling (>:|), and the first one hadn't hurt so bad, I might get another one. But eh.. I've done the whole piercing thing, I like that better.. I think I've just run out of acceptable places (for me) to pierce. :)

I don't think Tattoos are a sin.
I think that Lev. 19:28 was written in reference to the Gentiles. Cuttings in your flesh, which the Gentiles commonly did both in the worship of their idols, and in their solemn mournings, is a no-no.
We all know how God feels about worshiping false idols...
As for me, i have the Fair Trade logo tattooed on my wrist.
Fair Trade contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to, and securing the rights of, marginalized producers and workers - especially in the South.

My son has a tattoo and I like it.
And he is one of the most dedicated Christians I know.
The only thing is, a very large and visible tat can be a turnoff to some employers, so take that into consideration.

I don't think they're evil. I have three myself. I have some Latin, a lotus on one hip and a huge one of Ganesha going down my thigh.

I am Christian and I don't have the Ganesha one because I believe in him or because I worship him, I have it because as the God of Obstacles, it reminds me of what's necessary to get over my own obstacles.

I also like piercings, I have 10 ear and 2 body (nose and below the belt)

I don't think they're evil, but I do think that God would rather we didn't have tattoos. Our bodies are not our own, they belong to God, and if you believe that Christ is the Son of God and that He attoned for your sins, that means you are part of the Body (church) of Christ. He wants us to honor our bodies and treat them as temples. Would you put the tattoo images you have on your body on a temple of God? If not, then a tattoo is not for you. If you don't believe in God or are not a Christian, then it doesn't matter! :)
