"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved." - Ephesians 1:3-5 KJV.

The place that i have been working at for the past few months has been very up and down. The management and treatment of employees was very poor and besides having to listen to the owner whining and cussing over his inventory (which he always seemed to blame everyone else but himself for, even if he was the last one to use the items) - making employees work overtime without giving them the pay... what more do i need to say. I called in sick on Wednesday because i was considering leaving, that afternoon i sent him my letter of resignation. I know there should have been a formal approach and a two weeks notice but i'm not the type of person to let someone talk down to me. Is this wrong? - I know that the business will be suffering as well because its the beginning of the season, i would have stayed if he could control his temper and maybe hire more employees to do the jobs. In the end it all comes down to bad management, the typical small business owner who thinks he can do everything -

We all know that Halloween has pagan roots. Some Christians I know will not do anything to celebrate the holiday because it is "of the Devil". Others see no harm in it Halloween is about what you make it about, kids getting candy and playing lets-pretend. Meanwhile, the Christians that shun Halloween put up Christmas trees, (pagan) and go to church on Sunday, which came from pagan roots because the original sabbath was Saturday but Constantine the Great changed it when he mixed the two religions into one, to the day the pagans worshipped the SUN god (sun-day). I could go on and on about all the "Christian" practices that are rooted in paganism. The point being do we have the spirit or not. And I personally do not see anything wrong with Halloween provided you're not using it to worship the Devil. What are your thoughts?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep rude and pointless answers to yourself.
Thanks

Just curious - wouldn't this mean that an atheist could sue a religious group that spreads lies about atheists for slandering them?

Do you believe the movie "Passion of the Christ" is just a summary of the Catholic faith? I mean think about it, 3 hours all about Jesus death, and almost nothing about His resurection....

I don't think a true Christian would see this movie, and I did not go see it. The reason, it breaks a few commandments. The first, do not make idols. Second, it makes a false witness about Jesus, because no one really knows what he looked like.

Mel Gibson also let us know his mind, when he ranted about Jewish people. I know many think that Only the Jews killed Jesus, but the real truth is Jesus died for all of us, willingly.

Do you find it Ironic, that this movie is just like the Catholic Church? Only Focusing on His death and maybe even His Physical Birth (Christmas). In fact we are NEVER told to celebrate Jesus Birthday anywhere in the Bible.

Why doesn't the Catholic Church ever talk about Paul's epistles? Why do they thing the Catholic Church is the author of Grace, and not God?

In what ways are we "not showing love".
Is telling you that 'sin is sin' a lack of love?
Is not acting like you a lack of love?
Or do you see something about us that we don't notice? Please let us know.
As Christians we should be people magnets. Jesus was. If we are not attracting others something is wrong.
What do you non Christians think it is?
Yes, this a stolen question. Saw one like it last week.

Some website said once i learn to levitate, i'll eventually learn body phase shift which will let me walk through walls and phase into the earth like it was water.... if that was true that would be pretty ******* sweet. I'd be in class and all the sudden I'd be like, BYE. and walk through the wall into another class. then i'd be like "oops, sorry." and walk back.

Alcohol is a recreational drug like cannabis or cocaine. Just because it's legal doesn't seem a legitimate reason to allow it to be advertised. There is a case for legalising some or all recreational drugs but I've never heard anyone advocating that advertising them should be allowed.

If we banned alcohol advertising, wouldn't it only be the big corporations who would suffer, rather than individual citizens?

After all, if alcohol advertising works, it shouldn't be allowed, and if it doesn't, there's no reason for it.

If individual companies want to increase market share, they could make their produce more attractive rather than spending money on persuading people to buy it. Wouldn't word get around quickly?

And if one country banned alcohol advertising, maybe others would follow (like the ban on smoking in restaurants etc.)

What do you thinl?

By public, I mean in the general public space such as malls, restaurants, theaters, parks, on-the-street, public transportation. I am not talking about seeing a transvestite in a gay bar or a convention of transvestites. I would also like to know your first impression and your lasting impression as well.

Take Your First Step Toward True Evolution

Ever wonder why you repeat the same negative thoughts in your head? Why you keep coming back for more from hurtful family members, friends, or significant others? Why you keep falling into the same detrimental habits or limiting attitudes—even when you know that they are going to make you feel bad?

Dr. Joe Dispenza has spent decades studying the human mind—how it works, how it stores information, and why it perpetuates the same behavioral patterns over and over. In the acclaimed film What the Bleep Do We Know!? he began to explain how the brain evolves—by learning new skills, developing the ability to concentrate in the midst of chaos, and even healing the body and the psyche.

Evolve Your Brain presents this information in depth, while helping you take control of your mind, explaining how thoughts can create chemical reactions that keep you addicted to patterns and feelings—including ones that make you unhappy. And when you know how these bad habits are created, it's possible to not only break these patterns, but also reprogram and evolve your brain, so that new, positive, and beneficial habits can take over.

This is something you can start to do right now. You and only you have the power to change your mind and evolve your brain for a better life—for good.

at supermarket checkouts don't give out vouchers or points when the shopper is entitled to them?

I don't know if it happens in other stores but when I shop in my local supermarket, if I use my own bags, or re-use a bag, instead of taking a new plastic bag I'm rewarded with "green clubcard points" for being a good girl. If I go to a checkout where there's a female or older male at the till I get my points, but never if I go to a till where there's a young male.

Just curious! but it could explain why certain checkouts have short queues. What do you think?
