Yet, when a child disobeys their parent, the parent (out of love) disciplines their child. If the child continues to show disobedience/disrespect/defiance, the parent must still stand firm. The child chooses defiance and the parent either gives in or stays the course. This is love.
In the same way, when we rebel against our parent, God, He really has no choice but to discipline us. Were He to do otherwise, He would not be holy and would not, therefore, be God.
Like any other parent, God wants to see His children turn away from their rebellion/sin. It is hurtful to Him to have to discipline us for our sin. However, because He is God, and He is holy, He cannot abide sin in His presence. He has to make the stand against it, just like a parent. When a child is rebellious, this is true love.

Perhaps the God that you have had experience of may say this but not all Gods do. Gods love people, however not all that we do is right however that does not mean eternal damnation. That is reserved for the particularly evil souls.
A parent teaches their child right from wrong, if they are a decent parent, and that there are consequences for your actions. You speak of Hell which is a Jewish/Christian concept and does not apply to all religions. In truth we all go to The Afterlife when we die, how we find it to be is entirely dependent on how we live our lives. Live a moral principled life and you will be justly rewarded. Live an immoral unprincipled life and you too will be justly rewarded however it may not be to your liking.

How much more unconditional can you get!

what makes u think she doesnt?
i'll tell u a story.
my father grew up catholic, he doesnt believe the religion and doesnt attend church or anything. when he and my mom got married and had a child (my brother) my dad asked my mom if they should get him baptised cause he kept having thoughts of my brother burning in hell cause he wasnt. my mother told him that any god that would make an innocent baby burn in hell because it wasnt baptised, was no god she wants to believe in. and my dad never asked again cause he knew she was right.
i told u that story because its more important that u love your children whether or not you know if god does.
i never grew up with a religion and i dont know if i believe in god. but i believe that if there is a god she will value the people who live their life well. you can devote your whole life to god just so u dont end up in hell, but that steps over the line of faith onto the line of fear.
no one can ever be positive that god exist or that shes listening, or that she cares. you are never going to get a piece of paper saying "i love your children. xoxo - god" but if you believe in your heart that she is watching over them, your faith in that will be all you need.

Unconditional love does not mean that there is no punishment for the disobedient child. That holds true for God and for parents.
However before God punishes someone, He usually forewarns them long in advance of the punishment, giving them time to change their mind and their ways.

It takes a lot more love and effort to discipline a child than it does to let a child do whatever he wants. Without discipline there is no love.

WOULD DAVID BE FULL OF JOY FOR HIM OR CHRIST IF HELL TO HIM WAS THE SAME AS IT IS IN MOST RELIGIONS?
Acts. 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
2:28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
2:29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
2:32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
2:35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
1Cor.15:22-28;
As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive, ALL IS ALL.
John 5:26-29;
Acts 24:15;
Dan.12:2;
Isa.26:19;
Eze.37:12-14;
Psm.104:29,30;
Rev.20:1-6,12,13;
Rom.14:9-12;

He does love us unconditionally, that is why he gave us free will, giving us the ability to reject him. You know the old saying if you love someone set them free, if they don't come back to you it was never meant to be. God does love us that much. Some just choose to reject his unconditional love.

God does LOVE us unconditionally, but he can't FORGIVE us without our asking. And believe me when I say that he bled for me and you and if you had been the only person on the planet he would have died for your sins just the same. He doesn't like to see his children fall but sometimes humans are just dumb.
