Just something that got me thinking the other day. In the Bible it says that you must not consult mediums or try and contact anyone in the spirit world or practice any form of divination. (This was quoted on another answer I saw last week).

Why is it then that Spiritualists always mention God and say prayers etc. Or maybe I have it wrong - can anyone clear this up for me? It just sounds contradictory. Thanks.

Jesus said that the end would come like a thief in the night. He also in the 25 Chap. of Matt. gave a parrallel to the time of Noah. They did not listen to noah's message from God and the floods came and swept them away. We have a very similar situation today. There is a people out there contacting everyone on the planet right now!

The literal meaning of hell in the Greek= Hades and the Hebrew= Sheol mean a pit, grave or hole in the ground. Mankinds common grave.Do you think it can be the ancient pagan beliefs that cam into christianity during Constantines rule as Pope?

This is a queston for the Christians. Both Christians and Muslims know the story of Abraham being asked to sacrifice his son. (we differ on which son,but the basic story is the same)
For us as Muslims it is a simple test of Ibrahims faith.
Will he obey Allah? he proved he was willing, and a ram was sent instead.
The Chistians on the other hand say it is a "type" or a foreshadowing of Gods sacrifice of Christ to atone for the sins of the world.
Yet in the old testement context sacrifice was to atone for the sins of those makeing the sacrifice.
Ibrahims sacrifice of his son would atone for his sins.
By that logic whos sins are atoned for by God sacrificing His son?

if we're going to heaven just by repenting and accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior and being 'born again', we can always do that in our deathbed, right?

but in the meantime, while we are healthy and young, might as well enjoy the 'pleasures of the flesh' (as some Christians put it).

easy isn't it? I mean, why complicate things?

My View:

God is as good as our parents. If we don’t ask him, who else we are going ask.

Many have the guilty feeling that god might mistake them if they keep asking him materialistic things. May pray, God you give me what is best for me. However in the worst situations we can’t stop ourselves. We go and ask him.

According to me, if you treat god like your father or mother, you will demand everything from him. You will not hesitate to ask.

May philosophies say, that it is your ego which stops you asking. If you really trust him, if you love him like your parents, you will go and fight with him, demand him what you want.

Trust him fully. Even if you have little bit doubt in your mind you won’t give. So from today friends go and ask him loudly what you want. Trust me he would give you.

------------------------------
Don’t forget to star if you like this question ... Hey this is only a reminder. I am not demanding. Don't star ... if you don't like it

I was browsing questions on here, and I came across a question from a girl who's having a hard time choosing between two guys, and some douchebag put this for an answer: "If you are in therapy, you have no right to start any kind of relationship that will affect other peoples lives. Leave them both alone."

So, what, people who are in therapy should be avoided like the plague and lock themselves up for fear that they'll spread their disease around? Seriously, how many of you agree with this statement?

And before you start ranking on me for putting this in the wrong category, I'm putting here because I know a lot of the people who hang out in this category.

Okay, so I am hoping that the reason why conscience is dying everyday to the point where I have no morals whatsoever to be a chemical imbalance from some kind of stress and depression I am having.

Because if it is, then it has nothing to do with God cursing me or whatever.

Because I used to believe in Jesus as my saviour but then denied him and thought he was demonic.

I was happy and filled with love when I was born again. Which is why I feel like I am under a curse, because I no longer feel the way I did as a christian.

I lost all my morals, and love, and happiness, the things that once bothered me no longer bothers me, and I feel so hardened inside.

Am I u nder a curse and being haunted and tortured by demons?

I had dreams and visions of hell, demons, Jesus rejecting me, etc...

I had a near death experience when I seen myself being sent to outer darkness.

My heart is soo hard. I don't feel love, and feel like hitting people and hating them without reason.

Jesus said he must go so a comforter would be sent with a final law in a new tongue (new language) that would be written on the hearts of the believers (memorized and followed).

Obviously Jesus was NOT talking about the Holy Spirit because he never had to go for the Holy Spirit to come.

The HS had come before many times and as a Dove.............

Therefore 2,000 years ago Jesus was telling his disciples that they are not ready for the FULL law to come but all things would be made clear when it does come.

He was foretelling the arrival of the "Propet Like Unto Moses" from the Ishmaelites.

Moses = Prophet, Military Leader, Family man and Israelite Law Giver.

Mohammed = Prophet, Military Leader, Family man and Ishmaelite Law Giver.

Below is a link to the Quranic verses where Jesus is called the Messiah :

http://quod.lib.umich.edu/cgi/k/koran/koran-idx?type=simple&q1=messiah&size=First%20+100

..

In Islam Jesus is called the Messiah (annointed Prophet). He came from a miracle birth and performed miracles so nobody could falsely accuse him of being an imposter or a fake and then demand the death penalty on him. He was to be the last chance redeemer for the Jewish nation. If they accepted him and repented then they would be spared from a "lanat" and they would be forgiven for their rebellion and for the killing of Gods Prophets.

After that.... the Prophethood was shifted to the Ishmaelites and the message sent through the Great Ishmaelite Prophet (Mohammed) would be the last and eternal message until the day of Judgement.

The traditional title of Messiah, or "anointed one" was an honorary title of God's appointed King/Prophet of the Israelites.

Saul was a messiah, David was a Messiah, Zedekiah, the last king of Israel of the line of Judah was a Messiah

The word “Messiah” is an English rendering of the Hebrew word “Mashiach”, whose translation is “Anointed”. It usually refers to a person initiated into G-d’s service by being anointed with oil. (Having oil poured on his head. Cf. Exodus 29:7, I Kings 1:39, II Kings 9:3).

There are many Messiahs in the Bible. Since every King and High Priest/pastor was anointed with oil, each may be referred to as “an anointed one” (a Mashiach or a Messiah). For example: “G-d forbid that I [David] should stretch out my hand against the L-rd’s Messiah [Saul]...” I Samuel 26:11. Cf. II Samuel 23:1, Isaiah 45:1, Psalms 20:6.

Islam also says that those who denied Jesus was a true messenger and Prophet (Messiah) ----- will be sent a “False Messiah” near the last days as a final Punishment.

Those who join him will be on the side of EVIL and those who oppose him will be on the side of Good.

This False Messiah will rule from Jerusalem and will be the most EVIL leader to come in the history of mankind.

If, according to my understanding of Christianity, God created man to worship or glorify him. That seems a bit self-centered to me. With all the power in exestence it seems that one could find something better to do that create fans.
