I agree. We are very close to the time when God will wipe this wicked system of things away, but I'm troubled about the Great Tribulation. It is supposed to take place Before Armageddon, but what is it? Are we living in the Great Tribulation now? If you want verses, I'll provide them, but you seem to know your bible.

The world has at least 1007 years before God destroys it, but there could be significant changes soon.
The next major event will be the return of Jesus Christ to the air to take away those who believe on him; this is often called the rapture.
After that will be the time of the great tribulation this is in 2 parts of 3.5 years each.
At the end of that 7 year period, Jesus will come to the earth (the Mount of Olives, to the east of Jerusalem) and will reign on the earth for 1000 years.
After that the earth will be destroyed by fire.
The timing of the rapture is not known (like a thief in the night), but some of the things that are prophesied to be in place during the tribulation are already coming together.

Yes, God did not intend the earth to be as it is now. His original purpose was for man to live in peace forever on Paradise. That purpose has not been fulfilled, but he has appointed his son Jesus Christ as King of his Kingdom and very soon he will bring an end to the wicked system on this earth. Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 all give the signs to show that we are in the time of the end.,

For eons people have falsely tried to predict the end of time and none succeeded. Yes, there are signs that "might" indicate a certain course but these signs have existed in one form of interpretation or another for thousands of years.
No human being will be able to predict it untill it happens so there is no point in worrying about it so much. The only thing you can do is to live your life properly and to the fullest.
Also, the end of world prediction according to the bible has much more to do with fire than with water. (God promised that the earth will never be flooded again, remember?)

the entire book of revelations says it all.
Try reading the entire book. its not that long actually, i read the book in just 1 hour or so, yet it holds so much information about the end.
it also tells us the "signs" and if we see the signs, it means it is the "last days", the days before the end. it may actually come any second now, maybe tomorrow, maybe next year. But only God will know when, not even Christ knows when so we best be prepared and always search for the truth when it knocks at our hearts.

1st of all I'd like to express how much I am surprised to hear someone say that God (who can do anything and created everything the way he wanted) inteded something and what happened something else. Please do not insult Gods greatness like this and consider what you say.
Yes the end of the world is comming soon. When?.. no one knows only God knows when. But he warned us that it is very soon.
And it will not be a wipe for living things no... It will be the end of the universe as we know. The Skys, space, earth, seas, mountains, just everything.
May God save us and guide us before its too late.
Peace

I believe we are seeing the book of Revelations in the news headlines everyday. Weather patterns changing, earthquakes in places not known for them, fires of disastrous proportions, famine, diseases not seen in the world before, rumors of war almost daily, violence and decadent behavior rampant and a falling away from the church these are daily news headlines they are also signs of the end of times as told in Revelations. I am a pre-tribulation believer in that I believe the Rapture will occur before the Tribulation. I am therefore paid up, packed up, and looking for my redeemer is on His way.

Of course not. Gods are fictional characters. The story of a resurrected "savior" is neither unique nor original to christianity. Most of Jesus' attributes and teachings were "borrowed" from older myths and philosophies.

Did a historical Jesus exist?
http://www.nobeliefs.com/exist.htm
[Excerpt]
ALL CLAIMS OF JESUS DERIVE FROM HEARSAY ACCOUNTS
No one has the slightest physical evidence to support a historical Jesus; no artifacts, dwelling, works of carpentry, or self-written manuscripts. All claims about Jesus derive from writings of other people. There occurs no contemporary Roman record that shows Pontius Pilate executing a man named Jesus. Devastating to historians, there occurs not a single contemporary writing that mentions Jesus. All documents about Jesus got written well after the life of the alleged Jesus from either: unknown authors, people who had never met an earthly Jesus, or from fraudulent, mythical or allegorical writings. Although one can argue that many of these writings come from fraud or interpolations, I will use the information and dates to show that even if these sources did not come from interpolations, they could still not serve as reliable evidence for a historical Jesus, simply because all sources derive from hearsay accounts.
Hearsay means information derived from other people rather than on a witness' own knowledge.
Courts of law do not generally allow hearsay as testimony, and nor does honest modern scholarship. Hearsay provides no proof or good evidence, and therefore, we should dismiss it.

The bible and christianity is like Yahoo Answers. The bible(guidelines) has the best of intentions, but doesn't work. Costumer service (god) is an automated response and never really existed. And no matter what you do as a user - you are always f*cked, and if you are too much trouble you get expelled...
It's a selfdestructive mechanism, and because of that it brings down the rest of the world. The more christians, the more f*cked the world gets.

The writers of Revelation expected Jesus to return soon, like in their own lifetimes.
You should read ABHOTA (A brief History Of The Apocalypse)
http://www.abhota.info/index.htm
When you go into the site the page header lets you move through the pages.
