Good point, but consider this. My best friend turned 40, for 40 years he had a blast. Football star, handsome, good at everything. Sports, women, cars, Jobs, had it all. While eating supper with his fiancee he dropped his fork, and said "I cant breathe" his fiancee being a nurse thought he was choking, and ran behind him and did the Heimlich, when she compressed up came blood , lots of blood. He died at the table. He had what they call an abdominal aneurysm, In 30 seconds he went from eating to dead. No time to repent, just time to die. Thankfully just three months before, he had giving his life to God. He had spent the last three months of his life, spreading the Good News of the Gospel. His family, his fiancee, everyone now knows that he is with Our LORD. Please don't gamble with eternity.

"WORKS" are required.
(James 2:14) Of what benefit is it, my brothers, if a certain one says he has faith but he does not have works? That faith cannot save him, can it?
Sitting on the fence till the last minute will not save you.
(2 Thessalonians 3:2) and that we may be delivered from harmful and wicked men, for faith is not a possession of all people.
What are the " works" ?
(Matthew 28:19-20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20Â teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”
What are the things ' to observe" ?
(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.
what Kingdom??
Its what we pray for
(Matthew 6:9-10) “YOU must pray, then, this way: “‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. 10Â Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.
(Daniel 2:44) “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;
God's government will eliminate men's governments.

Waiting til your death bed to be reborn takes away the entire experience of the whole transformation you experience while living in your human body after you are baptised. Being born again is not something that happens straight away. It's a process of transformation. I'm enjoying my journey which actually led me alway from the Church and into a different kind of spiritual path. Lot's of gifts. God Bless x

Right... sounds like a plan!!!:0
Christians think that's why the atheists hold out. That's why theyharbor secret anxiety issues regarding atheist "hedonism". Christians don't realize there actually are moral beings who don't join their pep rallies--I guess.

Not a Xian here - but I've nursed for 9 years & seen a lot of death.
IF I was hedging my bets this way I'd be worried that I may not have any control over my own death.
Wouldnt' be worth the risk in my books.

That would be manipulating God wouldn't it? God would probably see through that.
I heard a story from an EMT. He said people dying of a heart attack mainly focused on the efforts of the EMT and not on any preparation for their death.
