why does it seems to piss pple off when someone says they beleive in God it doesnt infringe on your opinion its just that i state mine and i have like so many thumbs down after just saying i beleive without adding another word why does that happen

It's when people like you talk about believing in God, you automatically mean believing in the Christian God of the Bible.
That my friend, is what gets me.

It doesn't make me mad if someone believes in something differently than I do so long as they are trying to force their beliefs on me. People on both sides get thumbs downed like crazy on here. People do it to show their support for the team, because they are offended people think differently than they do, or because they see the other side doing it and so retaliate. I never take the thumbs up or down seriously and I don't think you should either. I only consider if something said is factually wrong. Otherwise its all opinion here in religion and spirituality so there can be no wrong answers. I will thumbs down for spreading hate, bigotry, lies about a group or scientific misinformation only. Don't let it bother you, believe me I get lots of thumbs down just for saying I don't agree with an opinion or having a different opinion as well and I'm on the other side. Cheers!

Saying you believe is a serious matter to those who have rejected God. All reasonable atheists will agree that there is some probability, however small, that they will be confronted by their Creator when they die.
Consciously or subconsciously they are preparing a defense for this possibility. The defense will be that God did not provide enough evidence of His existence. That defense is undermined by people, such as you, who do believe. Therefore, these unbelievers need to attack the believers as irrational.

Maybe by saying you believe in God doesn't actually answer the question? It's just a superficial answer. When you answer with "I believe in God" and that's all you say, you're invoking the stereotypical bad response that says you have no answer to the question other than the non-answer that is that you believe in God. Which isn't actually an answer at all, you need to justify your answers and your beliefs in order for them to be respected.

It doesn't! I believe everyone has the right to believe in whatever they want. What does annoy me is when Christians attack science with no knowledge of scientific concepts or they use "scientific papers" by Christians which don't follow accepted scientific methods and don't stand up to scrutiny. When they feel they have the right to demonise science then I accept the right to attack back.

I wouldn't let the thumbs down worry you. I get thumbs down alot for saying I am atheist and the reasons why I don't believe. I think people just randomly click thumbs up or thumbs down. Also, it might not be just us atheists giving you thumbs down :-)

I don't think you should let the thumbs down bother you. Ater all, 100 thumbs up plus $1.50 will get you a diet coke.

I only get angry when people tell me that I have to believe in god/jesus and if I do not I'll go to hell. I also get angry when prayers are trying to be put back into pubic schools. I get angry at the attempt of teaching creation in public schools.
HOWEVER, it does not bother me that you believe in god and want to tell everyone. If that is how fell good.
