My View:
God is as good as our parents. If we don’t ask him, who else we are going ask.
Many have the guilty feeling that god might mistake them if they keep asking him materialistic things. May pray, God you give me what is best for me. However in the worst situations we can’t stop ourselves. We go and ask him.
According to me, if you treat god like your father or mother, you will demand everything from him. You will not hesitate to ask.
May philosophies say, that it is your ego which stops you asking. If you really trust him, if you love him like your parents, you will go and fight with him, demand him what you want.
Trust him fully. Even if you have little bit doubt in your mind you won’t give. So from today friends go and ask him loudly what you want. Trust me he would give you.
------------------------------
Don’t forget to star if you like this question ... Hey this is only a reminder. I am not demanding. Don't star ... if you don't like it

God already knows our needs and whether or not we are asking for something out of lust or greed or not, this is what some of you think.
Some of you thank him.
OK HERE WE GO, SOME OF US DON'T ASK ANYTHING, but only thank him.
Do you do that with your parents.
You ask him, he will give you what you want, but for that he expects you to a good human. God doens't need your thanks, instead he wants the same in actions by being good.
Actually you know what he doesn’t want you to be so smartly thinking all these. He loves your innocence. He has given birth to you in a materialistic world. He knows that you have needs. But what stops you asking him. Don’t hesitate. Ask him :

Your philosophy is so very close to an Islamic concept:
By asking God for what you want, you demonstrate your faith in him. You show that you believe he is all mighty and can do any thing. You show that you believe he is generous and doesn’t bother him to listen and give you what you want, even better than what you ask!.
It just that instead of treating him as one of your parents, Muslims believe that if you became a good son/ daughter to your parent he’ll give higher priority to answer your prayer/ requests.

All those who asked God for anythng did not get it at all.and all those who did not ask anythjg from God did not go empty handed too.if every body is absolved of his sin for elieveing in God , there is no need for a judgement day and no one would hesiate to ask for mercy iof he sue that he would unpunished .all those principles are man made for a specific purpose whicn might be irrelevant today..people might aske for so many things from/goid depending upon te naute of their life and their culture .even among the people of one culter evey one willhave his own demands .

I often ask God for a lot of things.............good health for my parents, siblings & all my loved ones.....then somehow it always happens that I end up saying,"God infact keep all living beings happy/safe/healthy...as long as u feel they deserve it." Finally after all this the line that follows, "God keep all the females happy atleast....if I can take up any punishment on anyone's behalf...U know I am always ready to do so. Bye for now & will surely be meeting U someday....guess U know that too."

God knows to whom to give and when to give. A true believer has to believe this also.
Every body asks God, pray to him for wealth. Not everybody is getting. The rewards are as per His discretion.

Nothing fails like prayer:
http://www.dimaggio.org/Eye-Openers/prayer_does_not_work.htm
[Excerpt]
Prayer Does Not Work. Sorry.
Once again, it's all in your mind..
"In a long-awaited comprehensive scientific study on the effects of intercessory prayer on the health and recovery of 1,802 patients undergoing coronary bypass surgery in six different hospitals, prayers offered by strangers had no effect. In fact, contrary to common belief, patients who knew they were being prayed for had a higher rate of post-operative complications such as abnormal heart rhythms, possibly the result of anxiety caused by learning that they were being prayed for and thus their condition was more serious than anticipated."

The Bible is clear about the things that are appropriate to speak to God about in prayer.
He promises to supply the things that we need and listen to our prayers , but only if they , and our life , are in harmony with 'HIS' will.
For example if we ask for a new Ferrari , then of course he will not give it.
Owning a new Ferrari will in no way help us to serve God better.
However asking for assistance to be more Christlike in regards to the fruitages of the spirit is appropriate to ask for.
Having this will help us to cope with life's challenges in a calm and mild God fearing way.
Of course to be heard by God we must be worshiping him in a way that pleases him.
If we follow unclean teachings , for example the trinity , hellfire or the immortal soul which are from pagan origins , then it is clear ---
God , will NOT listen to our prayers.

God is like a good father to me. He knows when to turn me away and when to help me out. He knows what I ought to have today and what I might need in the future.
I don't ask for anything, because He already knows what I need. He'll send it to me when the time is right.
