I have found that the more time I spend in worship the less difficulty I have with it. Initially it is hard to focus yourself on the scriptures and prayer becuase the things you left home intrude on your mind, things that need doing, tv shows you want to watch, the song you just heard in the car etc. But if you stay and try to focus, and look for the meanings in the things that are being said and done you can push through to hear from God.

The difficulties experienced as members of the church (?) have been clearly communicated over the years. There is no point in re-hashing church problems or the offenses that people have taken toward churches. There is nothing new. People are the same. This doesn't hold true only in churches, though; people have the same difficulties at work, at home, in clubs, in organizations. I have worked with people whose lives are not consistent with the mission of the organization, but that doesn't keep me from going to work. That being the case, why would I let it keep me from church?
If the ship seems to be sinking, one can't bail water from the outside. Standing around complaining and watching won't keep the ship afloat. Get in and start bailing! How do you think that finding fault and constantly discussing churches' problems is helpful? We can't fix churches' problems from the outside. If you see a flaw, be the solution! Get in and start bailing!

Actually, whatever organization or group you will be joining, the main difficulty is maintaining a harmonious relationship with people. There'll be misunderstanding that leads to division and even downfall of the whole church. This was evident even during the time of the apostle Paul. There were some who didn't accept his teachings or misunderstood him that's why some left.

As a Roman Catholic I sometimes feel I am out numbered just being one in my age group 25- 30 it is rare to find many who are true eg, celibacy, attending mass regularly and praying in a genuine way as the praying thing is a personal choice but I feel so much better once I have attended as you join with your inner spirit and beliefs. It is also difficult to have conversations with people about these feelings as many people around me are of other religions or are non believers of faith.

A paedophile accused me of having the devil Judas in me during Baptist Sunday School end of year scholarships presentation in-front of the congregation and that's when I decided against all religious teachings within the walls of a church.

People seem to stereotype Christians like anyone else who is different from them. I often run into people and I feel afraid in saying I'm a Christian because I know I will automatically be put into that radical, pushy category. But I'm not like that at all. In fact, I feel uncomfortable around most Christians myself because they often seem so fake. So I can understand why people feel that way.

Same difficulties as being a user of Yahoo answers.
The christian church is like Yahoo Answers. The church(guidelines) has the best of intentions, but doesn't work. Costumer service (god) is an automated response and never really existed. And no matter what you do as a user - you are always f*cked, and if you are too much trouble you get expelled or persecuted...

The Church of Christ teaches only what God says in his word the Bible...when man adds to Gods ways denominations are born and this is vain worship and God does not accept it, Matthew 15:9

Even though we belong to the same Church we all seem to be on different wavelenghts. However if you are serious about it you will find that you will eventually begin to resonate with what really matters.
