the protestantism teaches the faith only in jesu christ is enough for the salvation because Paul said that.. but james said something very different.. show me your faith without deeds.. and I will show my faith by what I do. 19 you believe there is one God. Good! even the demons believe that and shudder.. 20 you foolish person, do you believe that faith without is useless? how can you deal with two points very different? James chapter 2.. paul said the faith justified the salvation and james said the action is more important than the belief

the bible always mentions countries and the people in the middle east and egypt , jews and egyptians , but never the rest of the world , the word "world" is used but never any specific region except maybe rome in the new testament , why is that.

I asked a question about scientology and someone put a link to the alien idea that scientologists believe. I guess the message was look how silly this is? I can see the whole idea of God and Adam and Eve as being the same silly thing. If the alien idea is silly, isn't the bible idea silly too?

Why do I ask this question, well when you use the net if you look at various sites you are forced to confront issue that you may not encounter in your daily life with the people around you. I'd say its definitely true that things like pornography and free speech websites have touched people in countries where those items just don't exist. Everyone has heard people in developing countries complain about the American media influencing their culture through things like pop music, MTV, and movies. Now people can access the net and see almost anything. You can try to stick to certain websites but on the net you often accidentally make one wrong click and you will see something uncensored. A small spelling error and your search brings up some curious sites.

I usee the word 'liberalizing' because in my view it reflects more tolerance of new ideas. Maybe its the wrong word. tell me if it is.
Does using the net have a stronger effect on the evolution of values?

In the last fifty years, an obesity epidemic has erupted throughout western nations. All those anarchist hippies will tell you its fast food chains like mcdonalds, burger king, and kfc that are fattening us up. IMBECILES!!! Even newborns today are alarmingly heavy; long before they would have time to gain the weight by actually eating! The culprit can be none other than....EVOLUTION!!

can they answer a question about religion without quoting the bible? can they not use their supposedly "god given" heart and brains to answer the question? anyone can open a bible and find a quote. do christians have an opinion about questions without having to refer to the bible to answer the question for them? can they think for themselves?

I had a much older gentlmen that has served as a Chruch treasurer and a prominate member for probably 35+years. In conversation It came out that He said the bible was a book written by various people and were only stories of peoples perception of the times and should not be taken literally.

I was shocked at this statement. It made me remember other answers here in this forum being similar.

The verse of 2 Timothy 3:16 says," All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Do you believe in God's Living Word by the Holy Spirit through the desciples?

2Peter 1:20+21, " Above all, you must understand that no prophesy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. 21 For prophesy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
