Yes and no.
This forum is visited by many people. I have learned a lot here. Even from the trolls. I personally can think of no better way to communicate then scripture. Both to others and for me to understand where others are coming from.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus Christ counseled: “Do not give what is holy to dogs, neither throw your pearls before swine, that they may never trample them under their feet and turn around and rip you open.” (Mt 7:6) Evidently Jesus meant that, if a person shows that he is like a dog or a swine, with no appreciation for spiritual things, one should not further endeavor to share spiritual thoughts and teachings with him. Such corrupt persons would only trample upon valuable spiritual things and abuse or injure anyone endeavoring to share these with them. Jesus also illustrated the preciousness of the Kingdom of the heavens by speaking of “one pearl” of such high value that a traveling merchant seeking fine pearls “promptly sold all the things he had and bought it.” (Mt 13:45, 46) Thereby Jesus showed that an individual appreciating the true worth of gaining the Kingdom of the heavens would be willing to part with everything in order to gain it.—Compare Mt 11:12; Lu 13:23-25; Php 3:8-11.

I don't believe so. We are given the command by Jesus to spread the Gospel. What good would it do to spread the Gospel only to those who already have it or believe it. Jesus said He came to seek those who were lost. Yes, some will become hardened by the hearing of Scripture and others will become softened. We will just have to obey the command and let the Word of God work it's purpose. His Word will not return to Him void. The same Son that melts the butter is the same Son that hardens the brick. God bless!!

Not really...But, it could be construed with imposing your belief system on someone's path and therefore sabotaging your own karma, though. One should watch out for that on dogmatic stances.
There are many more pearls around the globe than one might think, and there aren't actually any swine, except in one's viewpoint, of course.

Only if you think everyone here is swine, in which case, it would be construed as throwing someone else's pearls from the hands of swine.

LOL I quote it and I'm an Atheist, does that mean I am throwing my pearls at the feet of swine?
Who is responsible for all the evil in the world, well god is of course...
Isaiah 45:7
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.
EDIT: See, I quote the bible's wisdom and people thumb me down for it.

No, because I'm sure everyone in this platform are believers one way or another. Cast not your pearl upon swine, means not to continue to help or do for someone who doesn't want it. Just fast and pray for that person and God will do the rest.
Anyone can be a Christian if they accept Jesus. We have a lot of Christians but rarely any believers. Just because one read and studies the Bible doesn't make them a Christian, walking into McDonald's doesn't make one a Big Mac. Not only do we have to read and study the Bible, we also have to believe it.

I'd say so. Just quote using discretion. I think the Sacred Scriptures in the hands of quote-filled Christians are a scary thing to me. I stay out of quote-slinging fights too. Christian against Christian. It's like the sailing of the Titanic: a boat going nowhere but down.

Good one!!!! To many of the ones here .... that is what one would be doing. A lot of them even claim to be Christian and have no idea what the Bible really says.
I actually think some that call themselves Christian are the most beligerant.
I am a Christian because I read and study the Bible and not because someone told me to get that fuzzy feeling that is better felt than told.

Yes, if you're wasting them on someone who is clearly just yanking your chain. Lots of those on here. Didn't Jesus tell His disciples not to waste time trying to convert those who didn't want to learn? Something about shaking the dust of those places from their feet?
