they say the mayans have predicted that its going to happen in a couple of years.and each prediction they have made has been correct.what do you think?i think it is because a lot of things they have said in the bible are coming true.i just want a second opinion.if you think differentley please say it.i really want to know what other people think.

Yes ofcourse. If u look in Islam, it has alot of prophecies that are coming true. Besides, if u look, you see the wars, depression, hunger, famine, thirst, violence, rape, torture etc etc...all these bad things for humanity in today's world. Surely this is a true sign of the end of the world. And its indeed near.

Royal Racer is very terse but is also very correct. When it is written that there will be a new heaven and a new earth it means a new heaven and new earth "AGE". That is to say a new time dispensation. One thousand years after the real Christ returns this earth age ends and a new one starts and it is called the "eternity" because that is how long our life is if we make the cut. The Mayan calender only goes to 2012 . How they got that year i don't know but it is as accurate a date
as any for the return of Christ because his return is probably between 2011 and 2018 according to scripture.

December 12, 2012? I regard this whole thing like the y2k thing -- blatant hysteria. I'm more inclined to agree with the scientists who predict the world cease to be in 5 billion years. We could die out from some natural disaster, but until then, I doubt the world is going kaput anytime soon.

No. I don't believe the "end of the world" described in the Bible is ever coming. I do believe there might someday be a "Big Crunch" or something like that, though.
