I think it would be a horrible curse to live forever. Think of how wonderful it is, sometimes, that you get to go to sleep every night instead of just being awake all the time. Even in a single day the brain can get bored and an END to the day is very welcome. So as much as death is viewed as a bad thing, I think it's good in a way because you get an end to living. Not that living is bad. But if you had to be alive FOREVER, that would mean that a million billion trillion centuries would go by and you'd still have a zillion more ahead of you. And even that wouldn't be the end because no matter how long you live, you'd have trillions of years left ahead, never ending. Every day would seem like the last billion that came before it. You'd had to keep meeting new people and getting to know them and having them get to know you and then they'd die over and over again. Because of this, you'd probably get tired of interacting with other people eventually and then you'd be lonely. Every time you do a great accomplishment, rather that dying with the satisfaction of your accomplishments, you'd keep on living for so long that your work would be forgotten and you'd be back to feeling unfulfilled. And you'd never be able to escape that cycle.
I think that if someone really lived forever, they would surely go insane after 10,000 years or so. And there'd be no escape for them from their own insanity because they'll never die. There'd be no point to life if it just kept going. And there'd be no conclusion or closure.
When you really think about, death is a good thing. it sounds like something a depressed person would say, but it's true.

Isn't that the plan that God had for mankind in the first place? He hasn't forgot ton it.
Very soon now you will see Dan 2:44 be full filled and a new Government installed by God in trusted by his son Jesus.
And we will all have a chance to live for ever on a paradise earth, with no death, crying, sorrow, tears, violence or sickness all the former things that mankind has been used to will have passed a way.
Rev 21:3,4.
So keep awake and keep listing to the news and what;s happening around the world.
When you start to see the political powers pounce on all false religions that will be the start of the Great Tribulation and culminate in the Great War of God Almighty against all unrighteous men.
All those who want to live under God's Kingdom Government will be saved and all those who refuse will go into everlasting destruction or death never having a chance to be resurrected to life here on earth to live for ever on it.
John 5:28,29
Sincerely yours,

I have given that concept much thought, even having written a novel of Atlantis in which the panacea (elixir of life or immortality) was cached within a receptacle in Atlantis intended to survive the Continent's destruction immersed in the Caribbean, pending its recovery and assimilation by the human race.
Obviously, the idea appeals to me personally, though, as you note in your addendum, it would have to apply to all humans.
At that juncture, however, we are confronted with the problem of over population of the Earth and its ramifications. Unless space travel were to become feasible and commonplace so that we terrestrials could colonize distant planets, of which we currently have no knowledge, the Earth would soon be rendered uninhabitable if no one died, yet everyone, being eternally youthful, continued to reproduce. If reproduction were either to be prevented or to become impossible, then either children would be required never to mature, or soon there would be no children in the world which would be a sad situation.
So... even though I am attracted to eternal life in the immortally youthful flesh, I can not imagine how that could be practical. Additionally, our achieving that sort of permanence and changelessness assumes that evolutionarily we have reached the zenith, also most likely doubtful!

in the beginning, i would not evaluate spending funds on foodstuff a waste. If I have been you, i might sit down your pal down and component out some issues. in the beginning, you will be prematurely along with her and tell her that there isn't something incorrect along with her existence. particular, she made some blunders alongside the way, yet she nonetheless has time to alter and turn her existence around. 2d of all, she's the right age to take duty for her movements. If she have been given in touch in drama, she could locate the thank you to drag herself out of it. some people only like drama, what are you able to do? not something. Secondly, do not make all of it sound unfavorable. She's only going to pity herself extra. Make it sound empowering. "examine out each and every thing you have been by way of so some distance, you're a survivor!" or some thing like that. She would not prefer a guy to assist her out. "you have carried out so nicely on your guy or woman already, why upload extra rigidity?" particular her automobile have been given repoed, yet this manner she's helping the ecosystem, she would be able to get some extra exercising, and he or she could even make searching for a activity a dedication to reaching her objective of having a sparkling one. Thirdly, you do not could be so attainable for her. shelter your self first and ideal and once you sense like it or while she somewhat, somewhat desires you (close dying interior the kinfolk, eviction, and so on) then you definately would nicely be there for her. in any different case, only lean back and enable her shelter herself. people like that don't learn until eventually they have been confronted with huge disaster and could commence from the backside. supply it a shot. If none of this works then i might say you have somewhat have been given not something to sense undesirable or responsible or regretful approximately in saying see you later to the friendship.

Jehovah God wants us to live as long as he lives.
Jehovah loves us and wants the best for us.
We know no one wants to die.
God has put time indefinite in our hearts.
Imagine how beautiful life will be living in a beautiful paradise, no more death, sickness, old age, and all the rest of the things that cause us suffering right now.
Soon all these things will be gone, never to be repeated again.

People keep obsessing about death like it's the end of something. Why can't it be a new beginning? The energy that makes you who you are is released back into the universe and can become so much more than the human parasite you are now. Welcome death with open arms.

Interesting question! I would have to say that if people lived forever, they wouldn't be as appreciative of life as they are now.
What I mean is that if we knew we were going to live forever, then we wouldn't feel the need to live everyday to it's fullest. But we don't live forever!
So let all of us - no matter what our religious beliefs - live every day as though it were our last. And it very well could be....Blessings!

With God yes, but without God it would be worthless.
As to watching my loved ones die, I have watched most of them die, but it is a funny thing, people that you have never known before become your loved ones, and the cycle continues on.
I believe that we are told that those in Christ will receive a new and perfect body to spend eternity in. That new body will never age. One thousand of those years will be spent right here on this planet.
