Okay, limited space here, but here is a story:

Several years ago a friend of mine was in a minor car accident. He walked away unhurt. He called his mom and told her what happened, then used a rental car the rest of the day.
When he got home, about 10 hours later, his grandmother called and asked him how badly his leg and arm were broken.

Stunned, he asked her what she meant. She said she had heard that he'd broken his right leg and arm and had a head injury and that she heard this from another family member.

Intrigued, he traced back the calls through the family. He found that the story had been passed on through 11 family members before getting back to him. Each family member embellished the story just a little bit more.

There are deeper details, but limited space here to explain, but you get the gist.

So, since the bible was not even written until 200 years after the supposed death of Jesus, how much embellishment do you think was infused over 1500 years?

Seriously, can it really harm you, in some way, if you are not a pagan, for instance, that they now have their pentagrams on their graves?
Can it harm you, to see a Muslim pray five times a day, or wear the hajib?
What is the harm in seeing a Jewish man wearing his side locks?
How can it hurt you, seeing a Christian cross at the side of the road?
What if you happened to be in a public restaurant, and overheard someone praying? Would some terrible fate befall?
Somebody please explain to me, why all the nonsense about eliminating any mention of God (anyone's God, that is) from any public forum?
Whether it is the Ten Commandments in a courtroom, or Vulcan, standing there in the middle of Birmingham, or a cross on a hill in California, or a Menorah displayed in a hotel lobby...have we become such spoiled children that we must smash one another's religious symbols?
(Btw, as far as I know, only one Christian has complained about Vulcan. Southern Alabama? Hmmmm...)

This can be found in the Bible.

There is but one God. Deut 6:4

and then it changes to this

There is a plurality of Gods
Gen 1:26/Gen 3:22/Gen 18:1-3/ and in 1 John 5:7

If he does not lie then what do you call this Hypocritical?

I mean no disrespect to you, but I would like your honest opinion on this please.

The host of the show was Andy Devine, they had a little cat that would dance, and an evil little frog "Froggie".

They had a theme song for the kids in audience "I've got a gang, you've got a gang, everybodies gotta have a gang! But their's only one really gang for me......good ole Andy's gang."

Was this show exclusively in the New York City area? I have friends from other areas that never heard of it!

Prominent Creation Scientist Em Adjineri has recently been studying the beliefs of the founding fathers and has discovered something stunning.

According to the Em Adjineri research, not one of the founding fathers believed in Darwinian evolution. However, several of them believed in the literal truth of the Bible. Our schools should only teach subjects in which the founding fathers believed. Anything else is unpatriotic.

Since the founding fathers didn't believe in Darwinian evolution, evolution should not be taught in schools today. Since some of them believed in creationism, creationism is still teachable. Our country was not founded by evolutionists, so evolution must be anti-American.

Evolutionists, don't you realize that by espousing your theory you're helping the terrorists win?

Take that, all you followers of Osama bin lution!

OR is grace and truth achieved by embracing understanding?

Solomon: Proverbs 4 (summarized)
With all thy getting, get it: understanding;
And when embraced, result is a grace glory crown.

How do you embrace understanding?
Don't you have to get close enough to embrace?
Does law oft hind-er embracing grace and truth?

I am trying to get a good idea of how many people believe and what they believe in...and maybe even why. So, do you believe in religion and if so, what religion and why? Do you believe in Scientology, karma, voodoo, ect, or nothing at all, and why? Thanks for the serious responses.

I flew over the Grand Canyon on Monday on my way back home to Orlando. A choice few of you saw the pictures I took from the plane of this majestic sight carved out by the Lord.

How can anyone in their right mind....look at something as massive and beautiful as the Grand Canyon and say to themselves, "Oh yeah.....evolution did this"

It's just not possible...........God did this.......and nothing else.

A guy at my college wanted to take a picture of me on his phone, I said no. He kept and asking and asking and asking, and I was getting annoyed and kept saying no. Eventually, he took one of my descreatly without my permission. (He was pretending he was typing a text message). I was so annoyed I grabbed his phone, deleted the picture, and threw it on the other side of the room for him to fetch it. Is it just me, or is that out of order when someone does that to you? It's an invasion of privacy, and quite pervey if you think about it. I'm the type of person person who can take a joke by all means, but this really ticks me off.

Who else finds this really rude?

I have read many statements that Adam was a Muslim that learnt Islam directly from Allah.

Now I am confused to how the fall of man occured, if the first ever person was a perfect Muslim how did things go down hill?

If you're going to blame the storys of Cain and Abel, please tell me why Adam didn't teach them Islam too? Why did Islam fail so ultimately the first time?

would they be capable of real intelligence and emotions? or would they only appear to display emotions and "think". Come to think of it, do humans have REAL intelligence and emotions or are they only apparent, due to the speed and complexity of the human mind.

As an aside, consider magic. If you slow down a magician's hands to a crawl, what appears to be real magic (or a "miracle") is actually slight of hand accelerated to such a speed that the human eye and mind can't comprehend what is really going on. Magic is not real. It's just an illusion. Are human intelligence and emotions an illusion in a similar way?
