The act of dying is not something to be afraid of, it is just a natural phenomenon that we have to deal with. However, we are always afraid of the unknown and what happens to our souls after death or what goes beyond death is unknown to us (unless anybody could claim to have reached nirvana in the flesh). For believers in the afterlife, the life after death is something that they have to prepare for, and to die without living as what they think they should have, is really an unfortunate thing.

For those who are eternally searching for truth about life after death, dying is doubly scary.

I'm not afraid of dying. I'm afraid of HOW I'll die. I've watched family members suffer in death.......I don't want my family to remember me like that.

I dont think I'm afraid of dying---I just dont want to be strangled to death, or burned to death, or any other horrible thing I can think of. And there is plenty of love in this world. Give and ye shall receive. And stay away from people that have no love to give

I am not afraid of dying. IF it comes it comes, there is nothing you can do about it so embrace it or just don't even think about it.
