He can and does use anyone even agnostics or homosexuals. I'm sure there must be some Christians that work for TIME magazine. and in a way God is using them to provide for some of his people. But that doesn't mean that any unrepentant people wouldn't still face the second death(Hell) if they refuse the gift of salvation. If we didn't need to be saved then Jesus would have went to the cross for nothing and If we claim to have him as our Lord and saviour then we must accept His will .One is to abstain from all sexual sin.

A better question is can homosexuals serve God? The answer is yes. They are God's children too. I don't believe, (and I may be wrong), that Christ ever said anything at all against gay people. His two most important commandment were stated as: To love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul, and with all your might. The second is like the first as it says: You must love your neighbor as you love yourself.....As we judge so will we be judged.
Blessed Be

If there is a god, would he not love all the people he created and find use for them?

The answers here make me cringe.

I just don't get the followers of a man who talked about love being so hateful.

Maybe god uses homosexuals to show us non-believers how right we are to not be suckered by people who talk a good game but know nothing about love.

edit -- big time kudos to the Christians here who gave loving answers. Don H, you still rock in my book! :)

In the same way that you can use an automobile in which you took off the fan belts, added peanut butter to the gas tank, and clogged the air filter.

If you don't follow the recommendations given by the Ford Motor Company, you can't expect your car to function the way it was designed.

God can use anyone. Homosexuality is a sin, but so is gossip, lying and so forth. God wants to change the heart of all sinners. He wants all to come to Him. Allowing all to be use by Him for His divine purpose. God loves the Homosexual, the gossiper, and the liar. He love all sinners, but He desires them to seek Him and turn from sin.

First of all, homosexuality itself is NOT a sin.
Sexual acts between two males or two females is considered
a "sin". I personally think that's wrong, I think you should be able to love who you love. But regardless, God can use anyone, God can even use complete Atheists to show other people things. God uses everyone and everything.

If you are a true believer, you have to look at the biblical stories and realize that God had a tendency to use sinners for his greatest work.

So yes he can.

But I don't believe in God, and wonder why any homosexual would want to associate with his followers, when they spend soo much time and energy trying to stigmatize and control gays.

Of course. Even if homosexuality were a sin this would be true - ALL people are sinful and yet many of us have lives filled with God's presence and grace. Certainly all of we imperfect, messed up humans have plenty of chances every day to be the hands of God upon the earth.

God bless you.

Yes he can. Have you ever read Matthew 7:21-23.
This is unsaved people who done things in the name of Christ. In the name of Christ, he can use anyone to accomplish his will. But look at verse 23 what Jesus says to them.
And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
