I believe that settling for a set of beliefs means that one has given up the journey of self-growth.

I definitely believe in religion. I'm an avid christian..i read the bible and I believe in God and Jesus, and that he died on the cross for our sins. But being the naive 15 year old girl that I am, i believe in karma. But maybe it isn't karma...it's God? I don't really know, because God doesn't do bad things, and Karma is that whole "what goes around comes around" which could be bad.
Hope this helps you out a little bit.

I believe there is something that permeates reality, something that transceneds and includes the reality we can sense with our bodies. I believe that whatever that things is by definition is finally beyond all our wordsa nd thoughts and images about it because all of those thinsg arise from our finite experience. Most religious truth claims are therefore extrapolations from our experience of the divine.
However, we cannot remain open on the question of Jesus. He claimed to be God and to know God. Either he was mistaken, crazy, egomaniacal - or he was God incarnate. I believe we all have this divine stuff in us, what we call souls, that are one with God, so in a way we are all gods. But I have come to believe that Jesus was God in a unique way and that through the process of his life we have recorded and through the symbol of his death and resurrection we receive better knowledge of the transcendant divine than we otherwise could access.
And what all this tells me is that God is Love. To the extent I can Love without expectation or agenda and without having to be loved first I am living in that divine energy inside and outside, that spiritual state that is always already the case if we just relax and stop fearing non-existence.

To exactly answer your question follow the links below. As to why - well, for all the obvious reasons, I suppose. We all need 'something' and most of us manage to find a level of contentment in our lifes. However, some folk (you must know some) never are happy, satisfied with their lot, moan, and are generally miserable. Aside from mental illness this is invariably caused by having a spiritual gap. Attempts to fill it with materilistic things are always doomed to failure. We appear to have a 'God spot' hard-wired into our brains, and true peace with yourself happens when you recognise that and do something about it.
Personally, I'm a Roman Catholic (by default, but would probably have chosen it anyway), but admire many faiths and have a deep interest in them. Particularly Islam, Judaism and Buddhism.

I believe in the Bible as the Holy Word of God and I believe in the God of the Bible as He declares Himself...Jehovah. No, I'm not a Jehovahs Witness. I've been studying the Bible and the Apocrypha for the last 11 years and find that it is full and rich with undeniable truth. Love in Christ, ~J~

I believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob whose Son is Jesus the Christ. Jesus didn't come to earth to set up a religion, but a kingdom of God. The Church follows only Jesus and no one else. Many times Christ said, "follow me."
Many times, Father God said, "This is my beloved Son, hear Him. Don't listen to anyone else - listen to Jesus.
Peter, who was martyred/crucified up-side-down for Jesus said in 2 Peter 1:16 "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you, the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty."
Peter knew the unbelievers of today would be calling the Bible myths, fables, and fiction because Peter walked in the Holy Spirit and wrote what the Holy Spirit inspired him to write. Peter died a horrible death at the hands of his enemies for the name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior.
If you knew the Bible you would know that Peter was a typical foolish man before he received the Holy Spirit. Peter even denied Jesus 3 times to save his hide, but then Jesus arose from the grave and Jesus gave His disciples the Holy Spirit.
Peter became the most changed individual in the Bible to me. Peter became outspoken and unafraid and Peter wrote many good episcles in the New Testament. When one believes in Jesus, then death has no sting (you have no fear of death). Death is gain to a Christian because we know we will be with our Lord Jesus Christ.

i believe that there is only one GOD, and that is JESUS, ,
many people invent or make their own religion but for me, it says in the Bible that if you accept Him as the only 1 God in your life and repent in all your sins you are forgiven by God, .
it's not about the building, the Pastor, the church or so whatever to make you save in the 2nd comind of God or so what we called "rapture"
i also believed that if you have a good relationship with Him, reading Bible everyday, applying it with your everyday life, obeying God's Word then you are save, .
because im CHRISTIAN, .and im PROUD of it, .

i am catholic. but im very interested in Wicca and all its history.
there is alot of it that i don't find needed, for example the 'skyclad' rituals, but the rest, i felt very spiritually fufiling.
it is a religion, an art, and a science.
it's more about energy and nature than actual magic and "witchcraft"

I believe in Deism. It is based on reason and common sense. Since it fits in with everything else in the world (for example, no conflicts with science), that's the reason I believe in it.

I believe in myself.
I've tried lots of doctrines and though I still have the Christian seal branded on my *** I don't have a religion per se.
I believe that God is everywhere and in everyone. So, to me, everyone has the capability to excel.
I basically respect myself and love myself to better love and respect others.
