Theres no proof of a all knowing, all watchful and encompassing god in these ages. Whoever is referred to as god is long gone and not responsible for anything we say, think or do.

I do however believe that we once had "creators" who formed this planet into what it is today and put us here. I do not believe a god created the heavens and the earth etc..... I believe they were here waiting for his final experiment..........humans. We are a genetically created being from the hands of "creators" No matter how you look at it the bible does explain this however rudimentary it may be written. For you Christians that means you must know "your" god did have knowledge of science to complete this task. He did not wish it out of thin air! To deny they were scientists would be very ignorant. They had the model already.........themselves. They created us in their image. They were doing then what will are trying to do now. Space exploration, cloning, etc.....

I guess it just depends on the person, but I can honestly say that I don't think I would be happy at all without God. God, the Bible, and all the promises that Christianity offers are things that give the believer hope. It's hope that there is something better out there, something that we can look forward to, if only we can survive the short period of chaos we have to live on this planet. I guess that that hope is what keeps me believing that God is there. And I tell myself time and time again that even if in the end it turns out I spent my life worshiping and following something that doesn't exist, if it were all for nothing, I'd rather learn about it then than live believing fact that I'm spending my entire life, working and struggling for achievement and enduring all the terrible lows of life, just to fade to nothingness and carry no meaning to the world in the grand scheme of things.

I do because He exists.

Science cannot prove God but it cannot also disprove Him. So it is unwise to use scientific proofs.

I can give you philosophical proofs. Philosophical proofs are good proofs but it doesn't have to be scientific.

In philosophy, the statement: "There is no God" is an example of an absolute statement. For someone to give an absolute statement, one has to have absolute knowledge. Another example of an absolute statement is this: "There is no gold in the US". For someone to say that, he must have thorough search of the US, its territories, its inhabitants, literally everything! The same thing with the previous statement. For one to say: "There is no God", one has to search for Him everywhere, in the earth, its moons, its inhabitants, the sun, the other planets, the moons of the other planets, in the other galaxies. Until he has searched everything in the universe, only then can one can be qualified to say an absolute statement which is "There is no God".

With the help of the law of absolute statement, we have just disprove the statement "There is no God". Thus, He exists.

The next question is, who is He? With all of the gods being presented to us, which one is the right one?

There is strength in numbers. Christianity has the most believers. But Christianity itself has a lot of denominations, which one is it. Again, there is strength in numbers, the Catholic Church has the most members in Christianity. It has the most not because the leaders are clever but because it is of Divine Origin. It is the One True Church established by God. I urge you to do your own study.

But take very special consideration on these issues:
1. How the Church was formed. Read its history. There is only one Church that Jesus established. We can see on the book of Revelations the wedding feast of Jesus and His bride. There is only one bride so there is only One Church. Jesus could never be polygamous. With the Church's formation, you will see which one came first, the Church or the Bible.

2. How the Bible was compiled. There are a lot of different interpretations of the Bible so it's going to be important for you which one you should use. Go down to history so you would know how it was compiled and who compiled it. With this, you would know which one to use.

3. How the Church grew from the time of the Apostles to our time. There is an unbroken succession from the time of the Apostles to ours. This will show who has been given the authority to oversee Jesus' Church until He comes back.

Good luck and pray as you study!

I believe in 0 of the thousands of Gods created by men.

Why?

Well we have a pretty clear idea of why religion first originated, we know for sure it was polytheistic and pantheistic in nature, and we have a clear trace of religion through historic times, all of this with no evidence of there ever being any reason to give any religion or deity any more consideration than any other archetype that could come out of the human mind.

No. I have no use for theism. Its a needless entity to bring into the equation. Life already has enough complexity, mystery, beauty, personal meaning, and awe without having to introduce the notion of invisible men.

Because it is the most logical thing to believe. I weighed all the evidence and it seems to me, that strictly from a logical stand point, it is the only thing to believe...But there is a spiritual point of view...when the Holy Spirit drew me to him, I knew it was the spirit of truth...beyond any shadow of doubt. I knew, I had been touched by the one who created me,,,I knew he was my Father even before I heard his voice. I just knew.

I don't believe or disbelieve.
I won't rule it out, but since there is no proof whatsover, I don't have a strong feeling on it.
Call me agnostic I guess.
