Just out of curiosity, whats your opinion on the matter?

...to people who have read your holy texts and know that the culture that is ingrained within the religion, is just as much a part of the actual religion as the beliefs and rituals you do to "worship" god. I am mainly talking about Islam, and people who keep saying, "educate yourselves about Islam!" and "Stop talking bad about Islam because it's a religion of piece!" (mispelling intended)

Okay, maybe we didn't read the same koran, but the one I read was all about killing infidels, beating women, acquiring sex slaves and war booty, and spreading the word of Islam.

Then, I see plenty of Muslims trying to use a Vulcan mind bend on ignorant Kufar to bully them into seeing Islam "their" way, if not to convert them, then at least to appeal to their Liberal side and assimilate another apologetic for the Ummah's cause. Brilliant!

But, just for crap's sake, do you all ever get tired of the lies and the taqqiyah it takes to spin Islam into a benign faith, that is all about peace?

Wouldn't it be nice to have just one day where religion was not such a big deal? Where we didn't have a headline about some new law the fundies are trying to pass or book they want to ban or school board that has been overrun or even just the normal stuff you constantly hear about religion? Where people just backed off for a while?

I know, I cause my own exposure by coming to this site, but I'd like just one single day where I didn't have to hear about religion. What do you think?

There are several things in this world that are so irreducibly complex that they could not have been made by anything except an intelligent designer. For example, suppose you're walking around and see a watch lying on the ground. Could such a complex thing have come into being without divine intervention?

According to evolutionasticism, a watch does not need a designer because it evoluted from earlier watches. But this is absurd! According to the theory of evolution, genetic mutations in the DNA of offspring impel evolution. However, watches don't have offspring, or DNA. This proves that the watch must have been designed.

Creation scientist Em Adjineri has proven that watches are too complex to have been designed by humans. She took apart a watch and couldn't put it back together, thus proving that watches are irreducibly complex. Since humans can't design watches, God must have created them.

Therefore, watches were all created by God so that humans could tell time.

This is more of a statement rather than a question. I have been a Christian throughout my entire life, nothing pisses me off more than people making fun of my religion. The reason why people make fun of our religion is because of people who claim they are "Christians" yet they do everything a Christian was taught not to do. I'm speaking about the people who do unjust things or do wrong to others and other things that I cannot say all within 556 characters of letters left.

Now, there are also people who claim they are Christians who think that everything that they cannot explain has a simple answer to it. God. Now that just arouses a shitload of bullshit upon us Christians, we think that everything we cannot explain only has one answer, God. That makes us look very unintellectual and possibly makes others avoid or make fun of our church.

I hope I helped a bit by helping you differentiate between the real Christians and the ones who only claim they are.

I got the email telling me today is the day for Pagans to share questions and more about our faith. How did it become Christian Pagan Day?

Does everything have to involve the Christians? Not that they are unwelcome, but, COME ON, most of the time it is the Christians who are the most vile toward Pagans. I don't care if Christians want to write answers to the questions telling us we are all going to Hell, they always do that.

It makes no sense to me at all. Yes, this is a rant. It is time we stop pandering to Christians to make them like us more.

We allow them to sit as judge and jury over us, talk to us like children, and report us at every turn if they don't like what we say.

Am i the only one tripping over this?

I was with men until a little over a year ago. I considered myself straight. Now I have no attraction towards men what so ever.
A year ago I fell head over heels in love with a woman. I chose to be with a woman, I'm choosing to continue to have a relationship with her.

So, why do you say people can't choose to be gay?

Not all beliefs are bad. But God does not approve of them if they come from false religion or are against Bible teachings.---
Matt 15:6 he must not honor his father at all. And SO YOU have made the word of God invalid because of YOUR tradition.

(I included the Scripture for those who may not have a Bible readily available...handy.)

So the Q is....
"What are some beliefs & customs that displease God, YHWH."
The Creator of heaven & earth.
The God of Abraham, Moses & Jacob.

I was wondering why some Christians support homosexuality when the bible- the book that christians believe in and follow- says very, very plainly that it is wrong. For example, Romans 1:27 says:
"In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion"

That seems extremely clear to me that God considers homosexuality is a sin, so why do Christians (even some ministers) say its just bigotry?
