Pangel brings lemon cheesecake and a poem for all...

May you always find your treasure in the blessings that life sends,
In the beauty of each season, in the company of friends,
Gathering strength from every storm.
May you always have a smile to share and one to keep you warm.
May each path you choose bring promise of the things you're dreaming of,
May your world be filled with peace and joy, your heart filled with Love.

Sorry I'm late. I got overambitious and made a couple of quarts of pico de gallo. Chopping all those tomatos and jalapenos takes awhile. There's a big bowl of homade guacamole too. I hope somebody brought chips.

I'd like to give a big thumbs up to the Methodists, who popularized this whole covered dish gathering thing and run to fine looking women. Those gals can backslide into me whenever they like.

I think what's most spiritually useful about the way of the seer is learning to set aside what you think you know and see what's really there.

What's most practically useful, is that when I do a reading, I get to spend 10 or so minutes at a time gazing into the eyes of beautiful women while they hang on my every word.

To be a wtich is to be honorable, or nothing at all.
To be a witch is to accept others who are not.
To be a witch is to know what you feel is right and good.

Four Limericks on Life

He goes by the surname of Fauna
From the Platypus to the Iguana
He hunts and he stalks
And he constantly talks
Of the death and the killing he wanna

She goes by the surname of Flora
She's plankton, she's trees, a plethora
But lives in a dread
Avoiding his tread
He's Sodom, he's death, he's Gomorrah!

He eats, he digests, he excretes her
She's worried each time that he meets her
It's not so dismaying
To find him decaying
His syrup of nitrogen treats her!

Submerged in a hostile reality
Humanity flirts with finality
He yearns to transcend
But his carnal self wins
And he spends his whole life in banality.

To CJ: Please remember that Jesus ate with the tax collectors and the sinners who were the most hated people of his day. He learned that by sharing his love with others, they were more willing to listen to him because he cared about them. So, how better to demonstrate God's love than to sit and eat with those who may not share our faith?
From Psalms 121
I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.

3 He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD is your keeper;
The LORD is your shade at your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
8 The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.

To those who are of different faiths, I am so thankful for the ability to share in your kindness and generosity today.

To our table, I am bringing Beef brats, and some various mustards to put on top of the brats.

Tao Te Ching:
Forty-five: Great accomplishment seems imperfect, Yet it does not outlive its usefulness. Great fullness seems empty, yet it cannot be exhausted. Great straightness seems twisted. Great intelligence seems stupid. Great eloquence seems awkward. Movement overcomes cold. Stillness overcomes heat Stillness and tranquility set things in order in the universe.

Psalm 133:1
How good and pleasant it is when brothers live in unity.

We are all brothers and sisters, regardless of our path.

A friend of mine just gave me an awesome chocolate cake recipe, I'm bringing it.
