join this new church? All you have to do is have faith that the hereafter will be like Disneyland, and you can become a member in good standing.

What really get's on your nerves??? Here are a few of mine:

1. Cyclists driving on very busy streets that clog up traffic because everyone has to change lanes to avoid them
2. People that park so close to you that you can't get in through the drivers side & have to climb over the passenger seat to get in
3. Grocery clerks that put other food items on top of my eggs.....grrrrrr!
4. Telemarketers that call asking if I need new windows or doors when I leave in a NEW house
5. When a car in opposing traffic is making a left turn & they keep moving forward so you think they're about to turn & hit you

I'd better quit while I'm ahead & leave some for you guys!!!

I'm writing a short story with a girl from Edinburough (sp?) in it and I need to know how her accent would sound. Specifically, how would she pronounce these things:
1. "Amber"
2. "Adrian"
3. "Danica"

If you can help, thanks!

The original 12 Apostles are registered here:
Mateo 10:2-4
Marcos 3:16-19
Lucas 6:13-16

In Acts 1:20-26, Matthias is the person who replaces Judas, the Apostle who betrays Jesus, but in (Romans 1:1, 11:13; 1 Corinthians 1:1, 9:1-2, etc.) Paul says he is an Apostle also, making a total of 13 Apostles at the end.

So is Paul an apostle now? If so, how did he become one? Who chose him to be an Apostle? Some Biblical teachers “invalidate” Matthias as a member of the 12 apostles, and in his place they believe that the Apostle Paul was chosen by God to take the place of Judas as the twelfth Apostle. What’s going on?

they can be practical, tangible, spiritual, emotional etc... whatever 3 things you like about yourself.

The only stipulation is that you CANNOT use your looks or any bodily feature (hair, eyes etc), or any benign habit like "I would like to wear better shoes"

P.S. I "borrowed" this idea as a play on a question Ramjet asked a few minutes ago - I answered it and then started thinking what 3 things I might like to improve on. So, anyone in the mood for sharing....

GO!

This is a true story of my life. My father died when I was in JR high school and I prayed for things to get better for me and for the days to go by fast. My mother died when I was 20 and I found her in our home. I prayed for my life to get better and for me to find someone to take care of and love me. I thought I found that person when I was 21. I got married and he abuses me verbally, emotionally and sometimes physically. He rehashes all the bad things in my life and calls my parents losers for "dying off" and not leaving me anything. I pray and pray every day for things to change and they never do. I don't know if God is mad at me? I don't know how to keep believing? When will God help me and answer my prayers? Please answer if you are spiritual or have had similar life.

Does the CBN sponsored web site get its orders on what to basterdized or lie about direct from Pat Robinson or can they make it up themselves?

Why are Christian Answerers afraid to say that it is a fundie site when they quote it as a true cite to back up an answer's validity?

If Islam says Jesus is a prophet(and a true one) and Jesus said He was the messiah, the son of God...then why don't they believe He was the son of God since He, a true prophet, said He was?

My ex-boyfriend who I tried my best to remain friends with and who carried a torch for me for two years after we broke up took his own life the other day. I have been feeling immense amounts of guilt because he tried to ruin subsequent relationships in the hope that I would get back with him, which was never going to happen. He never truly moved on and became depressed. I never took it seriously, and now it's too late. His sister has told me that, whilst she and her brother and father realise that he was beyong help and it was in no way my fault, their mother feels I could have given him another chance and blames me for the death.
The thing is is that beneath all the sadness, he was actually a lovely guy and I feel I'd be doing him a great disservice by not attending. My boyfriend says I should go, but I don't want to cause more upset for his mother. What do you think? Any good advice would be most helpful because I don't know which way to go.

I'm just curious. I mean, God and the Pope are TIGHT. The Pope is God's main man on Earth, surely out of all the people that need blessing, the guy with the direct line to the management floor would be the LAST person we'd need to ask God to bless???

I'm an atheistic catholic by the way... In that, I think the catholic church is a wonderful institution and it does great things in the community, especially in helping families in times of bereavement. I plan to bring up my (future) kids as catholics, as I feel that it's an important part of an irish childhood, and furthermore, the teachings of the church are as good a moral compass as any, and they are a good point of reference....

It's just the whole God part I've the problem with, as in, not believing in one.

So I'm in college. I go to college about 3 hours away from home. My hometown let's just say is really boring. We have one stoplight in the whole town. I have a few friends who are here, but most of them are so busy and caught up in their own lives. I'm not really a true part of their life, other then "lunch dates" and "catch ups." At school I feel the same way. I don't have alot of close friends there at all, this summer, I did alot of just sitting in my room, wondering what to do. I have a boyfriend and I do spend most of my time with him. People at college already seem to have established groups of friends. I don't feel like I fit in at my college, it's not as big as I wish it was. I don't want to transfer because I'm already a junior and I'm studying abroad winter semester. Mostly I feel like I'm wasting my life right now. I'm just sitting around doing absolutely nothing with anyone. What should I do to make the most of college? I dont want to live in my hometown forever.
