putting up with drunken husbands...or drug addicts that DENY THEY HAVE A PROBLEM???...re: divorces...( I know in the bible the only excuse is infidelity...but come on this is the 21st century and i am sure NO ONE THOUGHT OF THE STUFF THAT HAS HAPPENED...GANGS AND DRUGS...i mean i never thought of that either...so there are other reasons and damn good ones for divorces with children involved...BUT you would have to PAY MONEY OF COURSE TO GET AN ANNULLMENT EVEN IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN???...BELIEVE ME I have been to several Catholic marriages that the people were married a second and third time right in the church...IT'S MONEY HONEY!...tell me your thoughts on that...thanks!!!.No judgment on my part...it was their business only!!! i AM THANK FUL FOR CHANGE!!!

You can deduce that this painting had to have an intelligent creator because of the complexities of it. Somebody had to hold the brush to make the brush strokes. So why is it so hard to believe that the universe, being more complex than a painting, had an intelligent creator.

All the prophets foretold that the messiah would redeem the Jews, help them, gather in the exiles and support their observance of the commandments. But he caused Jewry to be put to the sword, to be scattered and to be degraded; he tampered with the Torah and its laws; and he misled most of the world to serve something other than G-d.

How can you even say that jesus is the messiah he never did any of the things that we expect the messiah to do?

A friend of my husband is getting married next month. We have been invited to the wedding but due to our circumstances(finances, children, school obligations) we cannot attend. The invitation did not include an RSVP card to return, so I need to write a letter instead. How should I word it? Should I explain WHY we can't come, or just that we send our best wishes? Since I don't know really know these people (I've spoken to them once or twice) should my husband be the one to write the letter?

i told my sister in law no today...her child was screaming and instead of trying to calm him down, she slapped his mouth. all i could do was try to stay non violent. so i yelled no! i don't care if he is your kid, i don't ever want to see that again! was this out of line? mind you...this was taking place in my house.

When I was married to Jeff Glenn I lived in Clinton, Illinois. I was most known for my height. I was a bartender at Clinton Elks Club until my back got bad. I was in shoe sales when we met. I dated his brother in high school, and my classmate, Rebecca Thorp, married his brother. Jeff committed suicide a few years ago.
Our house burned down, and we tried to live at the farm. We divorced, and I moved to Fla. I lived in Fla. for 6 years before I came back to Clinton.

I was visiting the Shoah Foundation website, which is a website that was built by Steven Spielberg and USC about the testimonies of surviving victims from the Holocaust.

Besides testimonies from the Jews, There is testimonies from Jehovah's Witnesses as well.

Why didn't other Christian groups suffer like the Jehovah's Witnesses? They where kill with the Jews.

1) the roman guards are described as being bribed by jewish authorities to say the body was stolen. what for??? bribery was a death penalty offense in the roman empire, as was for guards sleeping on duty. wouldn't they guards have been killed for saying they took a bribe??

2) the angels put the guards to sleep. sleeping on guard duty also got you killed.

3) would the jewish authorities even have had the power to pay off roman guards????

4) the testimony of women wasn't worth crap in court. suspicously convienient as it takes pressure off the men?

5) if the ressurection happened why are the gospels so conflicting??

6) could joseph of aramathea have bribed the guards, since he was rich, taken the body and not told anyone, which could account for the belief of the apostles that never broke during roman torture and execution? he was also a member of the jewish athurities himself wasn't he????? do we smell suspect here????

It really doesn't make much sense to give an answer that doesn't in any way address the question. In fact, it makes the answerer appear at least borderline retarded. Oddly enough, it has gotten to the point that I can usually guess who will give a left field answer ahead of time. lol

And I don't feel like making up with her. Do you think this could mean that I just don't love her anymore?
I am a person who can fight with my lover and forgive the next minute or find a solution, but I just don't even want her touching me. I have been getting a little sad because of things that are happening around me, I don't want to go into specifics but there is stuff happening that is making me loose faith in humans, I really have been loosing sleep over it.
