People say that for the most part because of unbelief.
The Bible teaches and fully expects believers to come into a life of overcoming sin.
"For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace."
Romans 6:14
That being said, the reality is that very few enter into an abiding life of victory over sin.
John says this:
"This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives."
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
I John 1:5 - 2:2
Christians are not to live in a state of sin or in habitual sin. If they do they are probably under a state of bondage to the principal of law, where they are still trying to earn God's favor rather than believing they have been justified through faith in Christ.
That being said, God remembers what manner of creatures we are.
The blessedness of the Gospel is that, even when we fall short and stumble into sin, we are still justified before God through faith in Jesus.

Many people think that real Christians don't sin - that's just crazy impossible! When we accept Christ, we don't become perfect immediately. We are "made perfect" thru the process of "sanctification". It begins the moment we accept Christ and it continues until we die.
It basically means the Holy Spirit is working in us, changing our hearts. When He changes your heart, your desires change as well. Some of us need more changing than others! Some people are more obedient than others as well, so you can control the rate at which you grow spiritually by your willingness to do what you know God wants you to do. This is why you see so many differences in the way Christians act - some are just more mature than others. This is also a major reason that non-Christians don't believe - they see our actions as inconsistent and hypocritical when it's really about spiritual maturity.
For more on this, read about Paul's inner struggles in the 7th chapter of Romans and also some info on the doctrine of sanctification might help as well.

We are sinners on earth because we sin, everyone does, wether its thinking about someone in a sexual way, or getting angry and hitting someone, but we are saved from the devil and saved from hell. Everyone is a sinner because everyone sins. We are saved through the blood of christ because after death we don't need to pay the price for it because Jesus already has for us

It is easy. Saved through the blood of Christ means we understand the necessity of the death and what it proved to mortals. This understanding saves. The outward man of this age is never saved. How could it be. Christ proved he is a liar, a murderer from the beginning. We fool ourselves if we never journey for understanding of what Christ revealed regarding our spirituality. So, to just repeat words and tell yourself you are saved because of the effort, is a big mistake.

Catholics are meant to rapid throughout Lent and creation, and circulate to confession, or are meant to for repentance a minimum of as quickly as a 365 days, and a great sort of circulate extra usually. some Protestants additionally rapid at circumstances and repent their sins, the two privately or in some form of non secular accumulating. I admire the day of Yom Kippur. yet lots of the old testomony is picked and chosen with the aid of Christians often. something like passages against homosexuality are shown as evidence God can not tolerate it, yet on an identical time, maximum Christians (which includes me) haven't any concern with eating beef or shellfish. rapidly maximum Christians additionally do not observe Passover, the two, despite the fact that do commemorate the final Supper, which grew to become right into a Seder meal. some Christians certainly do not comprehend that. i think of it is by technique of the fact because of the fact the church unfold westward, it grew to alter into extra "Roman" than Jewish. The church I attend, at the same time as we don't observe Yom Kippur or different Jewish holy days rapidly, they're spoken approximately and the relationship between the Jewish faith and the Christian faith is reported usually. notice: Christians are the followers of Jesus Christ. Christ did not stick to himself, subsequently, technically he would desire to not be a "Christian" yet I understand what you recommend.

God saves our soul or inner being, not the flesh. The flesh dies because of sin.The Spirit that indwells the Christian is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit cannot sin,but the flesh can,and does.
The saved sinner is clothed in God's righteousness, not his own.He/she now belongs to God.We are a purchased possession .Paid for by his Son's blood.
Not my opinion, this is God's word on it.

Just because you are saved from the punishment of sin does not mean that the sinner is changed. Changing a sinful person takes many, many years by the all consuming fire of the Holy Spirit.

Because we have act in harmony with Christ's teaching to BENEFIT from his sacrifice.
John 3:16 - For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone EXERCISING FAITH in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.
Our worship has to be in keeping with what God requires of us and the example his son Jesus Christ set. We must ACT in harmony with those teachings. Or else we're like the sick person with a wonderful doctor who refuses to take the medicine prescribed because he knows better than the doctor how to make himself well.

The bible says that "all have sinned". Accepting Jesus doesn't alter our sinful nature, it just allows us to accept the forgiveness that God freely offers. Jesus doesn't give us a "get out of sin free card" that lets us continue to sin at will...instead, it means that we, unlike people that aren't Christians, have accepted that we have a sinful nature and that we need help from God to recognize and try to avoid sin in the future.
