i believe that religion is simply faith based and no proof, the only thing you can do is have faith in it..... or am i wrong? if so, what actual proof is there? im not looking for stories of miracles, im talking about scientific evidence.

Dog has proof!

Cockroaches. They are proof of God. The only purpose they serve is to drive mankind crazy. Nothing likes to eat them (except Geckos but they'll eat anything) so they don't function well in the food chain. They reproduce at an astounding rate. They can adapt to all poisons mankind develops. They are God's evil little joke.

But he did a good job with bees and honey. I guess we've got to take the good with the bad.

Okay, I'm flailing. There's no proof of "God". But cockroaches and honey are 2 things that make me question my atheism (just a little tiny bit).

We don't have any "proof." There isn't proof for too many things, actually.

However, there IS evidence that supports the Bible. Problem is, every time I talk about it, I get a bunch of thumbs-down, even though I use non-biased sources.

There is ample historical and archaeological evidence to support most of the events in the Bible. It doesn't prove there's a God, that IS a matter of faith, but it DOES prove that those who wrote the Bible knew what they were talking about.

And not one piece of historical or archaeological evidence has contradicted the Bible. Also, if the Bible is not taken literally (and one goes back to the original Hebrew), nothing in science has contradicted the Bible, either.

You can email me for details if you'd like. I can be reached at farkas419@yahoo.com. Just let me know who you are, or I'll delete the email without reading it.

science and faith don't have anything to do with eachother so the answer your looking for isn't coming. One requires concrete evidence and the other only requires imperical evidence. You should have stayed awake in your first year philosophy class so that you would have known this before asking the question.

Before you dismiss the thought, ask yourself, What proof do I have for any other concept of man’s origin? What concrete reasons do I have for denying the creation account of the Bible?

Also think about our planet in relation to all others henceforth discovered and think how ASTRONOMICAL the chances are that it all just "happened"

That's the exact definition of "faith" --Believing in something that there is no proof for, Blindly believing something.
