I know some attempts at humor are offensive, but what about humor that isn't mean spirited? If you do like humor, what are some of your favorite questions asked in the past?

Honestly yes and no. Case in point, some people ask serious questions, then get a humorous answer, that doesn't try to answer the question. If in answering a question in a decent, fair manner the person uses humour I say go for it, especially lately, this place needs it.

After answering 2000+ answers, and most of them in R&S it is hard to pick, but (and as was once explained the word but means, don't listen to what I said before, this is what I really mean).

One question that is asked often on here is, in varying wordings, Why do Kingdom Halls of Jehovah's Witnesses never have any Windows?. In reallity, some do, some don't. In response to this question I seem to recall someone asking, Why do ALL churches Always have windows, of course the point was to make it clear some do and some don't.
Another question, while not meant to be funny, I always find funny is when someone posts in R&S, "Why are my questions being deleted" or "Who keeps deleting my questions". These are funny to me for a couple reasons, 1 being that someone asking this question in R&S is begging to have the question removed by Y!A, and the question is so incredibly paranoid.
Along that line is the question "Why do you stupid (insert group) hate me???" Once again the question begs to be responded to rudely, and/or be removed.
And lastly, along this line, someone asked "Where in the Bible does Satan commit attrocities??" I'm sorry but whether you believe the Bible or not, he is kinda fingered as the Bad guy:D
One question I've seen is along the lines of, "What religion is my Cat", when everyone knows Cats are either Atheists/believe that they ARE God:D
"Is it true that Jehovah's Witnesses have to leave $10,000 in their will to their Church" I wish it was, as it would mean I had that much:D
"What do Jehovah's witnesses think of people that are clairvoyant?" My answer "Show me one and then we'll talk"
"Do you think my new name fits me better??"
"I am a (inset unChristian activity), how can I be Christian, or Help I am Christian and Gay, what should I do?? One answer to that type question I love is, Help I am straight and Chrstian what should I do??? The point being if you want to be Christian, or a member of any group, then you follow the rules, simple.

I am very opinionated, I admit it. But I do read the other answers and I have realized some things since coming to this site. I have softened some of my opinions and seen some things from different perspectives. It has been a learning experience for me in many ways. I still have the same basic beliefs and values, but I have actually been able to sometimes look through someone else's eyes at the issues. It is a good thing, I think.

Some try at humor and fail. Others make no attempt at humor and yet they still make me fall off my chair laughing. Wonder why that is?

Yes. There is definitely room in the R&S forum for humor.

Humor has a place just about anywhere! I think many of the humorous questions about the Creation Museum were best. I mean, that's some fertile ground for comedy right there!

Yes humor does have a place here. Get yourself a copy of a tape by Doug Weed called "David and Goliath" The first time I saw Doug Weed live this is the story he told and I was laughing so hard my side hurt and tears were running down my face.

No. You can't laugh at it, you can't laugh with it. It is not open to scrutiny or the clear light of day or fundamental truths of the nature of the cosmos. It is a belief system with both fingers plugged into ears shouting "I can't heaaaaarrrr yooooouuuu." Take the 6,000 year old earth theory. We know enough about light that we can build cell phones and microwave transmitters, but when an astrophysicist mentions that some of the light we are seeing has traveled for billions of years, it's back to the earplugs.

If I didn't have humour I wouldn't survive here.

I don't remember all the questions asked or answers given, but there are some that just about have me rolling on the floor! Also - do you have any idea (((((basket))))) just how often I have to BITE MY TONGUE here because if I said what I really wanted to say I would have so many people jumping all over it?
in the words of my favourite insane brother in Christ - Bonsai Bobby "I can't type what I really want to say, but feel free to laugh hysterically anyway....."

hahahahahaha

blessings and peace!

EDIT: my friend frankie posted that question about the Monkees and why are their still beatles fans... he doesn't come in here too often

((((CAT))))) that was MY question - on my last ramjet account when we were in Science what a hoot that was!

Yes, good humor(and not just the ice cream) is good, but a lot of hate hides poorly behind the pretense of humor.
