Heaven isn't double-minded.
God isn't wishy-washy.
So, when you visit His throne, you won't come back with two ways to deal with the problem...your going to come back with the mind of Christ, and that's a clear-thinking mind!
If you want Heaven on earth, get rid of the double-mindedness.
God's way of thinking is always pure, clear, right and true.

Non-regarding the time spent arguing such a beings existence, would it make you change any of your mannerisms at all?

Note: I set the deistic God to be an intelligent first cause, but not one that is in any way involved in our daily lives. Furthermore, "souls" would still not exist and consciousness would arise from the brain and cease at death (if that goes in line w/ your current beliefs).

I dount it would change mine, as I am rather apatheistic to the whole concept. Would it change yours?

I often meet people who say they are "spiritual but not religious." If you feel this way, what do you mean?

If you don't feel this way (and you are religious) how does that phrase make you feel?

If God had no reservations about killing sinners in the Old Testament, then why didn't he kill Satan?

God can do anything, right?

I was on the 77 bus making my way home from school in Cambridge, Massachusetts, there was a male passenger (probably between 30 - 40 years old), he'd say hello whenever he saw somebody come on the bus at every stop. It was clear he was a special needs person. I thought i'd talk to him a little bit. He had a soft-spoken voice with a good sense of humor. Some of the questions I'd ask him, he'd repeat the question a little, and he'd answer. Suppose I asked him "Are you familiar with the Salt and Pepper bridge?", he'd say "f'miliar wit Salt n'pepper b'idge? Yes, of course, blah blah blah". He works at a hotel in Boston as a man who cleans the room in the hotel. He would sometimes repeat at some questions I ask. I didn't know whether or not he was Autistic, or whether or not he had Echolalia, or Mental Delays.

For example: 3 people clearing brush from a field, and all get stung by yellow jackets, so one of them says his god is punishing him because he didn't go to church! The other two figure they got into a dang nest, no biggie, just be more careful. When a person gets hurt and says that it's a punishment for blah blah blah, is that right according to the Bible, Koran, Torah, or whatever you happen to believe in? It sounds kinda delusional and self-important to me. What do you think?

According to one answer to this question that is why you are atheist.

" The latter. I believe "atheists" are really believers that are too arrogant to acknowledge that someone bigger than themselves actually has control over their lives. It gives them a reason to say "I don't believe in a God, therefore, I'm not responsible to anyone for any wrong doing that I do." That is a crock and they know it. "

I mean, I think most people would only have to go back not much more than 5 generations (allowing 30 years per generation) before they find ancestors who were illiterate and therefore, their entire knowledge of Christian doctrine wasn’t learned by attempting to interpret the bible - they had to have the interpreting done for them. And think of this; people have been reading the bible for no more than 7-8% of the roughly 2000 years of the existence of Christianity. Do find this as astounding as I do?

Let's pretend we ALL believe in the Bible (for a moment).
Eve was created from the rib of Adam in order to stand by his side.
She was created to be his help-mate, his comforter, etc...
She was not created from Adams ankle to be walked on.

Environmental terrorists release all the animals from the Brooklyn Zoo into the museum. You turn to run and hide when your tuberculosis infection flares up.
You spastically cough blood into your hand as the camels charge down the hall toward you. Just as you are trampled, a 747, hijacked by Southern Baptist Conference militants, is crashed into the museum. An engine flies through one wall of the hallway and out the other, taking out the camels.
But now the building is burning, fumes are filling the air. Explosions rock the building as you decide you would rather jump to your death than burn alive.
You jump out a window, and before you hit the ground a flock of flamingos grabs you from midair and carries you away. Unfortunately, they take you back to their home in Africa, where you get dysentary and send the rest of your short life wishing you had fallen to your death.
Isn't this proof that, even if God did create stuff, right now he couldn't care less about you?

As warned about in the book of Revelation?

First, let us look at how the ancient city of Babylon originated.

Babylon is the cite of the Tower of Babel as documented in the book of Genesis 11:1-9 and is later mentioned by Nebuchadnezzar, (in his Borsippainscription), wherein he states that he built and finished at Babylon "E-sag-ila" (Temple of Heaven and Earth), the dwelling of the god of gods, Marduk; and likewise the story-tower.

Please see http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/view.jsp?artid=45&letter=B&search=Tower+of+Babel for more information.

Second, let us examine what happened during the Tower of Babel incident. Man still spoke one language during that time and committed themselves to building a tower to heaven to prove that man was greater than God. When God saw this He waited for them to desist from their sin and when they did not; He made it so that each man spoke a different language and could no longer understand each other to be able to complete their blasphemy
