Let's pretend we ALL believe in the Bible (for a moment).
Eve was created from the rib of Adam in order to stand by his side.
She was created to be his help-mate, his comforter, etc...
She was not created from Adams ankle to be walked on.

Johnny Appleseed.....What are you talking about? Where did I imply that women feel that they are men with boobs?

A man can never live without a woman to take care of him and provide him with the soft touch. But the question is ...
"What does a woman want?" ...lol.

Nor was Adam created from Eve's ankle to be walked on. There are, believe it or not, men who are trampled by women as well.

EDIT: I agree with what Johnny Appleseed said, but just for the purpose of clarification even though wives are to be in subjection to their husbands the husbands are still to be in subjeciton to God.

I don't have to pretend...I DO believe the Bible, and that would be a correct assessment of God's view of marriage....we are EQUAL, but have different roles to play. Many interpret that as meaning the wife is inferior to her husband; NOT SO!!! It merely means that the husband is the leader in the home, as is the natural role of the man, and the wife can lean on her husband, and feel safe and protected by him when he's doing what's right in God's eyes.

If I answer honestly it will only make you angry.

You emailed me to give the answer anyway, so here it is.

>>> Before the fall into sin both were fairly equal.

Because of and after the fall, INITIATED BY EVE, women lost their equal stature.

Genesis 3:16

New King James Version (NKJV)

16 To the woman He said:
“I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception;
In pain you shall bring forth children;
Your desire shall be for your husband,
And he shall rule over you.”

17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you,
saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: “ Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life."

"HE SHALL RULE OVER YOU" , is no small statement.
It destroyed the equal partnership which they had in the beginning.

It is not my desire to "To rule over any woman", however in marriage there must be a head of the family to have the last say, to be the leader.

This does not give the man the authority to abuse his wife. He is to be the leader and protector. HOWEVER this leadership and protection is difficult to provide in a Christian manner if the man is not a Christian and subjected under the leadership and protection of GOD.

UNLESS THE MAN IS PROPERLY SUBJECTED TO GOD HE CANNOT BE A PROPER HUSBAND AND RULER IN THE HOME.

If a man is abusing his wife, it is a sure sign that JESUS is not his LORD and that persons salvation is placed in doubt in light of his abuse.

JESUS Bless you all,

dave

i agree completely. in fact yes the Bible does talk about the male being the leader of the home but it also goes into great detail especially in the books of Corinthians on how a husband is supposed to treat his wife. and trust me walking all over her and "being the king of his castle" is actually strongly frowned upon. one scripture states that the husband and wife are the pillars of the home. and in any strong structure the pillars are indeed seperate but they are also EQUAL. that is to say that they both keep the family unit strong. and most scriptures where it talks of the husband being the leader it's speaking of being the spiritual leader, not being little lord haha of the house! that is to say he is supposed to be the protecter and keep satan and sin from infecting his home. and to the person who stated that eve "conned " adam into eating the forbidden fruit thats just crazy. he knew full and well what God had told him not to do. they were BOTH conned into it by the serpent and were both cast out of the garden of eden for it. eve was just the one that he used to get to both of them.

Except the Bible states in multiple places that a husband is to rule over his wife, she is to follow his every order no matter what, etc. Kinda blows your statement out of the water.

I agree Quella...The rib is close to a man's heart...and easier to access if the woman feels the need to rip it out.. sound's like somebody got hurt once....LOL

I'll definitely agree with your analogy. My family raised me to treat women with respect. As far as the Bible, I luv ya Quella, but that was a long hard moment. ; )
