Boy I hope so. Don't you?

If you're truly interested in considering what your purpose may be, try reading Rick Warren's, The Purpose-Driven Life. I'll be surprised if there is a more thorough, or thought-provoking book on this subject, regardless of whether or not you embrace the Christian principles outlined in this book.

Yes. Even though it often seems as though we are just buying time on Earth because of the day-to-day struggles of life, I do believe that we serve a greater purpose.

Purpose can be found in the simple daily activities we engage in...interconnecting with other people in a loving, positive way (as often as humanly possible), contributing to our communities (volunteering, helping neighbors, etc.), and taking the time to truly listen to our family (not just shaking our head without giving our full attention).

We may one day find that these small acts had a ripple effect in making someone's life a little bit easier. And, that each of our lives made the world a better place than it would have been without us (not in a conceited way, of course).

If you are wondering...you are here for a purpose. You have the freedom to choose whether you will engage the world in a positive way or not. When you engage the world positively, you are living in the purpose for which you were created.

I know that I am because God says so.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Unfortunately for the people who don't turn to Jesus and get saved their purpose isn't so nice.

Romans 9:22 What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, 23 in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory-- 24 even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles?

If you're not saved yet then click on the Get Saved button @ http://www.angelfire.com/rock3/cornerstone0/ and may the Lord give you the gift of faith in Jesus' name, amen!

You are here to decide whether you will follow God or Satan. In Satan's rebellion a 3rd of God's children followed Satan. And so God destroyed that earth age. Which was the 1st earth age. He made man be born of woman with all memory of the world that was erased to made up their mind if they will follow God or Satan.

I believe that, if there is any purpose at all, it has to do with using our minds to the best of our abilities. In order to do this, of course, we have to pay attention to how we use language, since language is the material with which we think.

For example, writing "other then" when "other than" is called for defeats the purpose entirely.

of course. life on earth is a test to see how good you are. how many and what kind of sins you commit during your life. and have you helped you fellow humans in any way. even smiling at someone on the road can brighten someones day. so its like a placement test to see where you will be in the after life. its a universal belief.

What's wrong with living on earth?

Why is having an extraordinary life in this universe considered inadequate?

Why must one rely on myths about an afterlife to feel satisfied?
