If God had no reservations about killing sinners in the Old Testament, then why didn't he kill Satan?

God can do anything, right?

Wow good question. Tough answer.

Is this kind of like if there is nothing impossible for God can he make something so big that he can not pick up?

The answer is: We do not see His plan for all of the history He has planned. Satan is in that plan.

Sometime the questions tell us more then the answers. How great would God be if you could completely understand Him?

You have to look at His nature. For example, God can not sin. Sin is by definition the opposite of God. Does that make Him less powerful? Just like it is against a male's nature to give birth. It is against an elephant's nature to fly.

God's plan in part is beyond our understanding, but your question does show you how amazingly knowledgeable He is. He did not cause sin, (Satan falling), but he planned for it and was not surprised by it. Free will makes our choice to follow Him that much more meaningful.

He did, God crushed Satan's head at Calvary, when the shed blood of Jesus Christ covered the Sin of all mankind, so man would have a second chance at life!!

If He had not, then everyone would have perished!!

He loved you that much!!!

Satan, in the old testament, is properly translated 'adversary'. In ancient mythology, this world was seen as a testing ground for men. The adversary was not god's adversary, he was man's adversary.

Part of me wants to agree, but then, neither god nor the devil exist, so it really would be futile.

Like a good Christian, he has to have someone to blame for all the world's ills.
