Why feel insecure?

My religion (or lack of one) is my own choice, grounded in my own opinions. As none can verify who's "right" until the afterlife (if one exist), we're all just guessing.

Morality is not the exclusive province of any belief (or nonbelief) system, folks.

If you're going to claim to be a religion, you should follow it, and not put your culture above it.

There are a number of factors that make many Muslim men abusive.

Abusers are often part of a cycle, picking up the habit after watching their own fathers abuse their mothers in North America or in Muslim countries. And their own children learn this abusive behavior and abuse their wives. (This is an important point because the longer the Muslim community tolerates abuse, the longer it will be passed on from father to son, from generation to generation.)

For cultural reasons, some Muslim men accept the idea that it's normal for a man to hit his wife and that she is no more than a piece of his property.

Some Muslim husbands abuse their wives as a result of frustration resulting from economic hardship, political oppression experienced outside the U.S., problems with the children, or an inferiority complex.

This is going to sound really stupid but how do I star peoples questions? I have had this lap top for 5 months and I am still just dabbling. I really must get some lessons so that I can understand how it all works.
I put it in this categorie because I feel slightly less embarrassed asking Seniors as I am one myself

Consider this, day in day out if someone gave you just bread and water. You wouldnt know any different so you would think yea this is ok im happy given enough bread and water is avaliable. Then on special occasions you got woah! Slightly salty bread or even Sparkling water!! Which to you, cos you dont know would be like soo exciting, and amazing and just the best! Then one day you wake up, someone introduces to you that the world has millions of foods and drinks and what there you are unloading in your pants over some bread and water! Yes, from that day onward you no longer would be impressed with what you have because there is so much to have. And yes the bliss of ignorance would be gone forever. However is not the truth preferable to a lie? Does not the Bible teach us in both Testiments lies is one of the worst things to do? God in the Eden was happy to treat us as the above example. So is then not Satan, who gave us realization and enlightenment our real friend? Think about it!

There are so many similar stories that predate Christ decades and even centuries before

Buddah: Born of a virgin, called the light of the world.

Osiris: Died on a tree and was resurrected.

Horus: Born of a virgin, considered Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

There are many others Mithra, Sungod of Persia, Krishna of India, Prometheus of Greece

I am trying to become stronger in my catholic faith, and have always been interested in the Rosary. I'm not sure how you are supposed to pray, though. I'm under the impression that we can pray the Rosary if we need assistance in our lives (Trouble with a loved one, going through tough times, etc.) and Mary/God will help us. However, when it comes to the mysteries, we're also supposed to be meditating on those at the same time? I don't understand how we're supposed to be seperating ourselves into two parts while praying instead of giving our full attention to the prayer.

I do hope that that made sense. Perhaps I've just been misinformed? I've never really been able to attempt the Rosary because I have had so much trouble with it, since I don't know much about the mysteries at all. Thanks for your help!

after all no post on an internet forum will ever change my views on life.. and i assume most people are the same. So why argue? Why not "agree to disagree" ?

given the recurrence of the wager on this board there must be Christians who feign belief or pretend to believe "just in case there is a god and a hell".

Please, step forward.
