My friends surname Gay and he does not have a problem with it. As for Randy i dont like that name at all. According to my friend there was a witch about 300 years ago called Sarah-Jane Gay and he thinks he is related somewhere along the line. He is proud to have the name Gay. Close friends often take the mick out of him for it saying that he is gay but thats it and he is happly living with his girlfriend and her daughter for over 2 years now. In answer to your question no i dont think they should change there name. An old teacher of mine was call Wayne Curr and to me that is much worse than Randy Gaye.

I'm a female so being christened Randy I would definitely have to change that lol. As for the name Gaye that wouldn't bother me so much.

Defiantly change it......I seriously knew a girl who's first name was Gaye....I felt bad for her, she was obviously teased about it.
