The one thing i thought would never happen to me has happened. My boyfriend cheated on me. He slept with someone else when i was at work, he said he was totally wasted when it happened. He told me 3 days after it happened and i totally freaked. He's really sorry and i belive him when he says he still loves me, and i forgive him and everything but i feel like i never want him to touch me again...things were going so great with us and he totally f*cked it up. I really want us to be okay but i can't totally shake off what he's done...does anyone have suggestions on how i can just move on and not think about whats happened? Because i just want to forget about it. I can't even sleep in the same bed with him i keep picturing him with someone else.

Okay, R&S, I was at the park, lying down on a bench, reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows for the third time, when a lady jabbed me in the shoulder.
She told me that Jesus would punish me for reading Harry Potter.
I told her she should read the book before saying it was evil; I mean, the good-overcomes-evil, love-conquers-all themes are thrown around like crazy.

She told me she doesn't read "hell books" because she's a "good Christian." She then proceeded to cause a scene by yelling (and I'm not exaggerating here) that I was a worshiper of hell, will burn in hell, etc.
In a park. Full of people and children.

Some of you on here do nothing but complain that Christians (or other religions) always try to force our religion down your throat. But, I mean, this is the Religion and Spirituality forum....why do you hang out in here only to show your hate and discontent for religion? And complain about those that talk about religion in a religion forum? I personally do not care about your lack of belief but why be so hateful? Please be an adult when answering. Have an intelligent discussion for once. Having a lack of belief does not mean lack of intelligence.

That is as clear as it gets!
I don't care if you say Jesus died for us and we no longer apply to those rules or not, Jesus cleary SAID NOT to disobey them. Or do you Chrisitians admit that Jesus is contradiciting himself?
Jesus said that He wanted everyone to uphold slavery, murder, rape, and all evil things!
He said it, READ the verses!
You got two choices:
1) Admit the verses.
2) Deny them and say you are under grace bla bla bla...but also then accept the fact that Jesus is going back on His words and is CONTRADICTING Himself!

As an american society we shun at a fact when a man is accused of hitting a woman yet at the same time if a woman is beating up a guy with her hands or an object as a bat for some reason we see it as less violence and/or in fact are willing to believe that the emotionality of women make them less responsible for their actions. If we as a society believes in full equality then we should view women who commit the same act as men in the same light

Why do athiests judge Christianity as a bad religion, but they say nothing is wrong with their own religion? Do you have reasons for why Christianity is wrong other than that we are stupid? Please, no mean comments I just wish to know. If you must know, I don't care if you are athiests, I have friends that are. It is not my place to judge. This has always puzzled me though.
