Id like to know how grandma and grandpa who administered many butt whooping to my generation feel about the banning of corporal punishment. you gave us more that a whack or two would you repeal it and bring it back.?

according to my wife my credit card debt and my bad cocky attitude are the results of lack of corporal punishment when i was younger lol

too late for me chris cant spank an adult debtor but i love my grandkids so my wife can discipline them and im glad she does

yes. i'd bring it back... never left my house to be honest. if my grand kids started up they got a crack on the *** just like my kids did...
and it no one liked it let the kiddies go somewhere else for a baby sitter.
i think your wife is right...

Theres nothing wrong with a whack on the diaper. When I saw this Q I was hoping you were going to ask if the 80 year old who plows his 30 ft long cadillac into a crowd of people killing 6 and injuring 18 should go to jail instead of being given a ride home by the cops. My answer to that is: YES!!!!!!

Spanking was for me a last resort. No one ever spanked my kids but me, grandparents never had to and I seldom had to. Teachers were not allowed to spank my children. If there was a problem they were to contact me. One teacher wanted to spank my son for writing down the wrong page and doing the wrong homework. So much for the intelligence of some teachers.

From what I have seen on the streets, a good amount of butt whopping is needed today. I am not going to sermonize, everyone knows the difference between abuse and a spanking...but I have to admit, the old adage, "spare the rod and spoil the child" may have more in it than we had suspected.

I AM A GRANDMA THAT GAVE A BUTT WHACKING AND MY KIDS HAVE GROWN UP VERY KIND, RESPECTFUL AND REALLY A CREDIT TO SOCIETY.
THERE IS A SAYING PLEASE DONT SLAP ME ON THE FACE FOR THAT GOD MADE ANOTHER PLACE....
BEATING A CHILD IS NOT GOOD BUT THEY SHOULD ALWAYS SHOW RESPECT TO THEIR ELDERS.

spanking never hurt anyone permanently although there was a blow to their pride. child abuse is a totally different subject and anyone who abuses a child should suffer.
